Sorry to hear that mate very tragic indeed but I never said that the virus is a hoax or that people don't get sick or die from it.

However a fit 19 year old contracting it and dying from it 2 weeks later is very rare, at least in this country where our standard of care is much higher then many other nations and we don't have the hygiene issues of many 3rd world countries.

In regards to your mums best friend(I genuinely hope she recovers and without any life long health issues due to it) but just wondering does she have other health issues that may have also compromised her immune system, how old is she and is she here in Australia?

This disease is very real, but overwhelmingly most 99+ percent will recover or be asymptomatic so it is very strange for you to know 2 people that have been so tragically and badly affected by it.

No I don't know anyone personally that has been afflicted by the disease and maybe you are right that to imply that maybe if I had my opinion would be different. Who knows, maybe so, but I still would believe that lockdowns don't work and that we should have responded way better then we did. I would probably be even more pissed off that drugs like Ivermectin have be largely ignored by our Government.

The one saving grace is that the latest strain, the Delta strain, is much more infectious, but not as damaging or lethal, so maybe it, as most viruses, is burning itself out and will eventually go back to not being an issue at all like previous Covids.
All good, mate - appreciate your reply.

These are very weird times indeed.

yeh, I get that but that's also how they recruit their juniors
Yeah fair enough.

Just listening to his podcast, it suggests he isn’t necessarily telling Warriors what juniors to sign up.

it’s more the junior pathway structure, how it should work. Like NZ didn’t have a 20’s comp, what competitions are required for their elite juniors (not necessarily signed to the warriors) in the 16’s and 18’s to develop in potential NRL players. What is required to stop Australian NRL clubs recruiting promising juniors/keeping them in NZ longer (Australia has better junior rep comp over NZ)

Deadwood was pretty good until they couldn't get the actors back for more episodes

Loved Deadwood. HBO cancelled it after 3 seasons because it was too expensive at the time.
They made a movie sequel a couple of years ago which I haven’t gotten around to watching yet. I think I’ll have to rewatch the whole thing again to remember what happened.

Spot on. I think the same of Dexter. First 5 seasons were awesome and that 5 season ended brilliantly. But from then on the remaining seasons were very up and down at best and some shows were just plain bad.
I loved the early seasons of dexter.

The end of season 4 with trinity ... i deadset did not see coming and felt shocked for a day ... lol

The ending goes down as another omfg moment in tv.

Same. I was genuinely taken aback at the ending to that season. I'd never really had a tv show have that effect on me before...

Just reported on the footy show and also on Twitter by weidler (sorry can’t post it as I’m blocked by him haha) but a large number of dragons players attended a party last night at Paul Vaughan’s house attended by police due to a noise complaint.

reports could be up to 15 players.

obviously direct breach of not only the NRL level 4 protocols, but also nsw health lockdown laws.

Could bring the continuation of the competition into question as 15 players (if true) being suspended would rule the dragons unable to play games, not to mention nsw govt maybe removing exemptions for the NRL to continue

why wouldn't they just make the dragons forfeit?

IF it was only players present then why are there any health concerns? The players are together constantly - and together in the closest of fashion. If they haven't already given it to eachother at training and games then they won't at paul vaughn's house.

But yes, I understand if there are rules (dumb or not) then they need to stick to them
