Well if he’s having a case of ‘second year syndrome’ in his 3rd year, why can’t we apply that to his 4th year? Remember the shit We’d put on corey Norman. Even browns stats make Norman look like an immortal.

MJ money is at a guess 350k. Now not only should we have that but also free next season we have this amount on top due to not being able to play.
So we will get an exemption of perhaps 250k that we may of used to Front load guys on extension. So MJ should free up closer to 600k not just the 350k had he played the season and retired.

Fergos on 500k so all of a sudden that's 1.1 mill. Atleast it would be 950k.
Now out goings.
Moses xtra 75k
Opacic xtra 50k
Bryce xtra 75k-100k

So 200k already burned.

D.Brown won't get more then his 600k.

Mahoney would of needed an upgrade of 150k-200k

Isaiah would needed imo 200k to keep happy.

So 400k gone along with 200k. That leave about 400k.

Next we look at Waqa and RCG. How are their contracts structured. I heard Penrith chip in 250 a year for RCG for first 3yrs then nothing. Doesn't mean we pay anymore thou. He maybe on 500k from us for 5yrs and gets 250k from them for 3 also and was happy with that.

Blake would be from what I've heard on full freight. But he also would of had demand. I doubt they chiped in more then 100k.

For arguments sake let's say 150k for the pair.
Our 400k is now down to 250k. At best I suggest we'd have 300-400k to spend.
And that's a fair amount. It may mean upgrading two guys on 250k with two guys worth 500k. At sametime it means we have to move guys and find better ones. That's not easy.

Other option is you buy 1 guy at 350k who won't be a huge upgrade on your 250k player(Most likely a benchy) who then sits in NSW cup.

Remember guys like TPJ demand 730k. A guy like Kafusi is probably on 200k. Would swapping these two change our side that much?

It's just not that easy to juggle. Penrith have been building for 10yrs. Take Cleary out of the side and it's strong but not much better then ours if any.One guy has changed their fortune

Browns rubbish cause we have no space ever. When we do Gutherson or Moses collect it.
Did anyone watch last night's game? See how Cleary reacted when he had no space? See how Walker reacted when had none?
One guy manned up stepped in and took tackle or rolled the ball into behind defense. The other become confused and just threw that pass anyhows into touch.
Who would you compare D.Brown to more?

Having a pair of slugs outside him also give the defense a reason to jam in and not be to concerned if the turtles get half a meter start. They'll just round them up. Less risk then letting Dylen bust the line. He has serious toe.

Right now at his stage of development Dyl would make a good centre, although a decent coach I'm sure could improve his game as a half.

Gutho, because of his lack of speed but good playmaking abilities, would make a better half than Dyl at this stage and should be moved there next year.

We need another fb with speed for next year, 2 speedy wingers and Peninisi in the centres and our back line is vastly improved. Now a decent coach with decent tactics and our team is transformed.

I'd like to see Waqa Blake have a go at fullback. Dylan Brown and Penisini in the centres, Guth at 6.

I reckon he is a talent but I definitely don't think his strength in our squad is playing in the halves. For mine I want to see him at FB or in the centres with Sivo on his outside.

Waqa can’t pass and isn’t smart enough to be a playmaker. He’d be decent running the ball back and running in space but teams could just number up on him. Waqa to wing, brown and Penisini in the centres and Gutho to 5/8 works for me. But we need to find a fullback from somewhere. Alternatively, Brown to fullback and we bring in a centre.

What are you even talking about? Recruiting 14 year olds isn't Arthur's or Robinson's job. It's not part of this discussion.
