Even when it's the same team it's never the same team. 2021 Mahoney and Papali'i were very different players to their 2020 versions. So was Blake Ferguson.
Dylan Brown went up a level the last 4 weeks and you're blind if didn't notice that.
Stone also showed his defense is top quality. He would be one of the best defenders in the NRL. Forget him at hooker and his passing. If he can work on his run game a little he is a genuine NRL player.
Kafusi dissapointed me. He has great charges but his ruck defense is a bit sloppy. His form early in the season was strong but as the season went on he dropped off. However come next season I think he will be hard to keep out of the 17.
Penisini and Dunster are only getting started and will be the biggest improvers.
Then the unknown. Hollis,Russel,Greig. And you have to imagine there is a few others who will pop up. There has been very little jnr league over the last 2yrs. That means there could be a few suprises spring up.
We are one of few finals sides who go into 2022 in a better position and a stable squad.
Storm,Panthers,Souths all get weaker somewhat. Of course they may replace the guys they lost and unearth players also.
Roosters are hard to gauge but I feel will be strong.
Manly have key players getting on in age.
Who improves? Sharks have some smart signings. So have the Dogs. Most of the others are relying on self improvement.
