Yet, a whole bunch of punters keep on paying for stuff. This thread alone provides sufficient evidence that the guys at the DT know that what they are doing is making them money.
It is worth subscribing the the DT just so you can unsubscribe. It is not easy to unsubscribe but the process can be enjoyable, you have to ring someone up and they virtually beg you to stay and seek an explanation for why you want to leave. It is a very rewarding thing to do.

It's the same for SMH. The last time I said I lost my job. The bloke offered to keep it at $3 per month for 6 months.

It's a struggle for the papers. $1 a paper to $3 per month. My problem is that they've become magazines which I don't like.

I did that to Fox (rang to cancel)

By the end of the phone call, my subscription was cheaper, and got an extra package to try for 6 months :sunglasses:

Except to sell another paper they need to at least print another one, with the associated costs. Obviously the costs of generating the content are already paid regardless of how many copies they print. But for online delivery they just need to pay for enough bandwidth for all the punters. Easily covered by three bucks a month.

Is Stan as good as Netflix?
I think it is worth taking up for 3-6 months. There is plenty of good stuff on it. But whilst Netflix is dog shit now (you can be sure any new movie has a white man is definitely the devil meanwhile white women are all mother mary sub message) there is some good old stuff.
I say Stan is pretty good and arguably aas good as Netflix at least for a short period.

they are both as shit as eachother ..... its just different stuff

how many streaming providers are there now? .... you will need to fork out a hundred bucks to get all the stuff you want cos it's all spread - and all the owners keep the best stuff for themselves now ..... we are no better off than when foxtel was the only option
