Money. Every merkin on here assumed he was going to be on squillions, but it seems the player option was lower than what he thinks he can make on the open market for possibly his last contract. Good luck to him.
How embarrassing that we had two players on unders like that but still couldn’t make it past week 2 of the finals against the team that was disadvantaged by paying some of their wages.

Yellowstone is the best show on all the platforms. I like the Aussie content on Stan. Haven't watched Netflix in a while.

Love Gutho, but maybe he's getting a wake up call in regards to his value on the open market.
My partner watches Yellowstone but just couldn't get into it, says it reminds her of Dallas. First episode was confusing with multiple stories but no drawing out of characters so when 1 was killed during clash with indians we didn't know if was member of family or not first up. Maybe the shoot first, ask questions later appraoch to the story line puts me off as well as the portrayal of political corruption and influence over the law, which probably does genuinely happen over there, also off putting to me. Btw I always barracked for the indians in the cowboy movies.

I'm not sure if this is serious or sarcasm?
I’m serious. We had alot of players (some of them elite level) on unders this season like RCG, Waqa Blake and Papali’i so to only make it to week 2 of the finals is incredibly frustrating. We are not going to enjoy those advantages any more. The team after next season will likely not be as strong as players leave or get upgraded so it is disheartening to think about how we may have missed a huge opportunity. I understand that we didn’t have Mahoney and Penrith were given some dubious calls but we messed up by clowning during the regular season and finishing sixth to put ourselves in that position. We had more than enough ball to win the game regardless. Our only hope after losing some of our key players is that some of the younger players coming through step up and play at a high level or we are headed downwards.

So you think the eels won’t ever sign any fringe players any more and get good value out of them……

Mate I can't see how paying some of our players less than what some other club is willing to give them can be directly related to losing to Penrith.

Because we are the only side with players on unders. Storm, panthers and Souths only sign players on overs and never have fringe players playing better then their contract indicates….

RCG was on a reported 750k. My information was Panthers chipped in around 200k for the first 3yrs of his 5yr contract. Parra footed the rest. I can only assume Eels said we are happy to pay 500-550k for 5yrs. And perhaps he even took a 50k hit to move from Penrith.

So if he was to stay at the Eels I'd say his option is 500k for the next 2 x seasons. I'd say Parra have no interest in paying him 750k and never did. They probably see it as a risk for a guy who has in pass gone thru cycles of good and bad form along with getting closer to 30yld.

I think it is worth taking up for 3-6 months. There is plenty of good stuff on it. But whilst Netflix is dog shit now (you can be sure any new movie has a white man is definitely the devil meanwhile white women are all mother mary sub message) there is some good old stuff.
I say Stan is pretty good and arguably aas good as Netflix at least for a short period.

Unbelievable how racist against whites these movies and shows have become. Like no one flinches with white cracker this, white cracker that and stated in easy-peasy casual conversation and storylines that make whites the most heinous monsters of all time. When the facts are that it is through the European(whites) world and laws that we slowly emancipated ALL men from those terrible and dark times.

I mean why doesn't anyone beat up on the American Indian for capturing and then making other Indians and or European settlers their slaves? I mean slaves were always part of their society so what about them? What because they eventually lost out to the massive European settlement(invasion) they get a free pass? That should not excuse the way they thought and treated their fellow Indian brothers or fellow man should it? Can't have one standard for one group of people and another for another group who both lived side by side and at the same time ffs.

But apparently, they eventually got defeated and the world looks at them as also being the victims, which they are for obvious reasons. BUT...they still had a very bad culture of slavery, cannibalism and mass extermination of their rivals for centuries even before the Europeans came on board to eventually put a stop to their racist ways(that very last bit was just a joke of course).

But seriously the endless cultures that have been slave owners and brutal overlords is everywhere in history, including black man owning black man, but guess what, do you know who put an end to it?

The white man.

Maybe that is his problem, maybe he is to good for his own good.
