Very replaceable, sounds like you think replacing him is no big deal huh??

And then you mentioned Greig as one of them a bloke who has played about 40 mins of first grade.

If we’re going off form this season, RCG was probably top 3. Whoever replaces him will have huge shoes to fill.

He’s very replaceable apparently, no big deal.
He's only top 3 mate, not top 1. Relax, come over to the Dolphins Leagues for a beer. My shout, maybe we can even tee up a chat with Wayno and RCG over a bucket of prawns and a few Stone & Woods.

You drive a hard deal. I'm going to have to dive into my pension fund but you're on. I'm joining the club soon so I can get discount drinks. We might have to go to Tempest or some other purveyor of seafood, first. Let's stay classy, mate.

Not long ago Tapau was no 1. Vaughn and Klemmer also held that spot. Props get a few good seasons. How many years has RCG been in the NRL? And how many times has he been in top 5 or 6 props ? 1/2 yrs with us. He spent 5yrs at Penrith. Id say he was in the top 5 or 6 twice. So 3 times in the last 7yrs.

I think he will be very good for another 2 seasons and then fall off a cliff.

What shits me on here is people who don't want to lose juniors but don't want to pay overs for experienced guys. But also don't want to lose experienced guys?
So what is your solutions? We either pay RCG what he wants and lose some future kids or let him walk and keep our salary cap in check.

Very replaceable as every side has 8 or so middles in their squad, so there’s a lot to chose from…..plus we have the money to spend too on the replacement ……..

and who mention it was no big deal?

yep definitely did mention Greig, with the word potential…

Our best win of the season was against the Storm in rnd 24.
RCG, Mahoney and Matterson along with Kafusi didn't play.

Hipgrave,Stone,Makatoa where all on the bench.

A bloke who's played about 20 mins of first grade, from what i have seen in reserve grade he may become a decent impact bench prop. Or he may be the next Jack Afamasunga.

We need a scalp in re-signing someone.

Not saying to do it at all costs but would certainly help atm it is just constant speculation going around circles with what player will be mentioned in the media today about contracts.

I dont agree that you need to paying someone a million dollars a year for the sake of it.

How many players anyway are worth a million dollars in the comp. Turbo, Cleary maybe latrell on his day if he keeps his temper in check but suspensions lower his value imo. Munster possibly but has baggage.

I saw ryan papenhuyzen at the golf course at castle hill country club the other day. He would be absolutely ideal being from kellyville but i cant see him leaving Melbourne.

We missed our chance in 2019 when Melbourne offered him up to every club at the start of that year and no one wanted him

My bad, I assumed you were just having a typical dig at our recruitment. 100% agree replacing RCGs output at $500k would be nigh impossible. And even fractional replacement would be difficult within fractional value

But then it seems it's also not possible to keep RCG's output at 500k either ( if that's the number )

Either way, stay or go, the price isn't the subsidised price, it's the market price. Whatever that might be.

Where did I say any of that?? All I said was I doubt RCG is as easy to replace as people were making out. And saying the likes of Kaufusi or Greig is quite laughable.

Kaufusi is a good young prop and probably will become a very good first grader and Greig has played what barely 20 mins of first grade. Like I said laughable.
Pappas will probably replace rcg if we manage to keep him
