Relax 'The Ram' RCG has re-signed for 3 years and Michael Ennis and Mary McGregor signed to join the support staff.

I am glad that we managed to keep RCG of course, but I hope it is at a price that takes into account his ageing status and potential drop off in form. My comments about how good he has been thus far are just that and how if we lost him at his current output abilities we don't have anyone that good to replace him and we just haven't produced that type of frontrower for decades.

But it doesn't mean that we should sign him on ridiculous money either. That is why I also said I will be interested in how our club responds and deals with all this re-signing speculation and process. The best run clubs seem to mostly get it right and stay strong. Will we get it done and have managed the roster well and have a team that is still capable and has a very good chance of winning the title or won't we?

RCG is the first major domino, of many still to fall. Lets keep watch and see.

Why not? I dare say there would be no one in any part of the club that was here when SK was here. I wouldn't imagine fan memories would have much bearing on the clubs decision... or Ray Price would be our coach right now.

As a fan SK and Spags are forever linked in my mind. Ill never forget Spags having team and coach front the AGM re poor performances. Talk about amateur hour. No thanks. Too many bad memories.

Saints has some very good juniors coming thru, not sure what input Mary had with them, but must have had some influence. Also as assistant coach to Freddy in SOO may help attract good players to our club.

Do you really think anyone would follow McGregor anywhere?

The best we can hope for is that he may be aware of a quality player(personality wise, work ethic as well as playing ability) that can be a great asset to us and and points us to him.

Mate I suspect he chose the Raiders over us at that time because he saw them as the better roster. Now he sees us as the better roster. Go figure, coaches also look to go to the stronger club that can help their careers too.

Maybe such decisions, at that time, were the sole domain of BA. I suspect MON now has greater influence than when originally appointed. Or maybe not.

Or BA knows that his personal strength is developing forwards and that we have a large number of young outside backs and a few hookers coming through and to best develop them it is best to get experience in those areas. Moreso if it is not your strength.

Don't BA bash just for the sake of it mate. You're better than that.

Poor Pou, he was waiting for RCG to sign elsewhere and all ready to shit can him as a player and why we didn’t need him.

Don’t worry though Pou there are still plenty of Eels players off contract you can death ride and absolutely hammer if they decide to leave. It’s very exciting!!!
