WouId be good if Kaufusi stays to and Drown extends or takes up his option.

Its interesting that the media is talking about the big 3 now 2…but no mention of Drown. Not even a whisper of other clubs being interested. Raiders were mention last year but nothing since and the Warriors now seem set on their halves and aren’t interested as rumoured.

I think the Warriors have changed their minds on Harris-Tevita, and will look to retain him.

Where's the members email ffs. Someone is asleep at the wheel.

Though i notice recently we tend to put the players partner's names in these press releases. Is that to make it feel like a family club or something. I dont have an issue with it but i found it curious.
She'll basically get half if they break up anyway, so she might as well be mentioned in the deal.

I reckon they all mercenaries and I’m at the point where I couldn’t give a f**k if they all leave. They are still all here next year. We will have well over $3m to spend in 2023. We go all out for Ponga and Munster. Maybe even Tedesco if we miss out there.
I am with you

Don't lose heart just yet @hineyrulz

I like you am very concerned and am keeping my fingers crossed that we keep both Mahoney and Junior at the right price or things could go real bad real quick. But if we do keep them, then the 2023+ rosters may actually be very, very good.

Remember some of our juniors are coming into NRL ready mode and by 2023 we may just have a couple that can step up and be genuine quality. Also it does give us a good amount of time from now to the 2023 season kicks off and who knows by then who we may have signed?

Point is lets just wait and see how this all plays out. Mahoney is obviously the key. Hopefully he does stay and then a very healthy roster is assured for at least the next 3-4 seasons.
I reckon we will keep one, but not both, knowing our luck we will lose both

The thing is when Marata was out of the side I don't feel like we lost a lot.
He runs hard and plays with energy. Very tough player. But not a game breaker.

The issue with Marata and Papali'i was they where cheap and finding guys that good again on that amount isn't always easy.
But it isn't impossible. BA would know what is in the pipeline at the club. With little jnr footy it's hard for us fans to know but there might be a few kids they feel can take the role.
Matt Doorey is only signed till end of 2022. That means he is free to talk to. This is one kid I'd try and get back. The dogs have signed a lot of good players and big names. Should be able to get a few of their hot young talent by offering them a little more. The dogs will be feeling the pinch here. And like the Tigers won't have as much free cash for their young guys coming thru. They are in win now mode and paying overs. Best clubs to strike.

I think Wayne will get Ponga, B.Smith and Jnr and build around that. I also reckon he will give them all their pay day.
Ponga will be a huge loss for Knights but he is from up there and Knights don't look like a premiership side or powerhouse. Will be interesting but that's my predictions.

Junior turns 28 today.

He will be turning 30 in 2023 when the dolphins come in while it would be disappointing if he left. Another 2 or 3 years after that with a guy his size may not be as valuable at 700-800k a season.

No need merkin. Anyone who follows these forums for a while knows that you were banging on about how having Hayne here at our club on a massive deal was preventing us from having a balanced roster and the leadership stuff came in later.

You can't have it both ways as you constantly try to do. You obviously don't have any respect for anyone on these forums since you try to treat us like mindless goldfish.

The problem though is as any good psychiatrist would tell you if you think less of everyone, what you really are feeling is a heap self loathing. That and maybe you have mummy issues and you are a bed wetter. 🤣
Don't misrepresent me merkin. We all know Hayne wasn't the only highly paid player in the game, but it's a matter of value. I'd be happy if we paid Wighton or Ponga $1M a year under the current cap (about $9M), but when Hayne was at his peak (and we were 'coincidentally' at our worst) I have no doubt he was the highest paid player in the game on $1M+, back when the salary cap was only about $6M. That's the difference. It's also become evident that the highest paid players (at the best teams anyway) are also leaders who set standards off the field. Hayne was never this type of personality. Maybe if he was we could've justified giving him over 15% of our salary cap. We certainly would've been more successful during that period.
