I wonder who picked up the bill for lunch...And then he said and then I said….
Circular logic eventually makes you look like a monkey f**king a football.Don't misrepresent me merkin. We all know Hayne wasn't the only highly paid player in the game, but it's a matter of value. I'd be happy if we paid Wighton or Ponga $1M a year under the current cap (about $9M), but when Hayne was at his peak (and we were 'coincidentally' at our worst) I have no doubt he was the highest paid player in the game on $1M+, back when the salary cap was only about $6M. That's the difference. It's also become evident that the highest paid players (at the best teams anyway) are also leaders who set standards off the field. Hayne was never this type of personality. Maybe if he was we could've justified giving him over 15% of our salary cap. We certainly would've been more successful during that period.

The top players would be on at least $1.2MI think it is a fair piece for both parties. He’s not top tier but when I read that DWZ is on $800k Gutherson is a bargain.
Monkeys are smart and like peanuts.Monkeys call any complex equation circular logic.
My post was before I read the Gutho post. I’m fine with what he’s getting. With captains tax, I reckon it’s even possibly slight unders.Except we didn’t pay any extra for Gutho.
All initial reports suggested we were offering him something around $1.5m to $1.6m for 2 years. The deal today suggests he signed for around $2.3m for 3 years.
really all we have done is offer another year not any extra cash. Pretty much paying what we valued him at originally….
So it won’t hinder our other re-signings….
We should try and sign a few thenMonkeys are smart and like peanuts.
Glad to see Larry get a call up.... From all reports he's prettty, prettty, prettty good....Joey Grima announced this in the TCT podcast.

We already have footy expertise at Parramatta. O'Neill played 200 games and Arthur's coached 200 games. And we've been much better since we had bean counters involved in the running of our club. f**k player managers trying to destablise us for profit and f**k the media for helping them. If you're a whinging Eels fan f**k you too for giving them all what they want.A push from powerful Parramatta figures for retired Channel 9 broadcaster and Eels legend Peter Sterling to take on a part-time role in recruitment and retention. He’d provide much better value than having two bean counters — chairman Sean McElduff and CEO Jim Sarantinos — on a committee desperate for footy expertise and an ability to recognise the value of players.

I appreciate the romanticism of it but honestly Sterlo has shown me little evidence that he is a good judge of future talent/output. He's great analysing the here and now and what's in front of him. And he earned shitloads from channel 9 to do exactly that and good on him, he was the leader in that field. He thought Tom Humble was going to be our marquee half.... Enough said....A push from powerful Parramatta figures for retired Channel 9 broadcaster and Eels legend Peter Sterling to take on a part-time role in recruitment and retention. He’d provide much better value than having two bean counters — chairman Sean McElduff and CEO Jim Sarantinos — on a committee desperate for footy expertise and an ability to recognise the value of players.

What about the toll roads?Needs it to pay for the petrol travelling from the beaches everyday
Just don’t Google Mr Hands when looking for himBrendon Hands is very interesting as many at Penrith rate him.
I'm off Gutherson. I don't think this re-signing is good news at all.So what's wrong with a push for Sterlo to have some input into the club ?. And if you don't like player managers like the shit stirrer Ayoub calling the club an absolute embarrassment, Gutherson as a captain should have cut ties with him after the previous disgusting contract negotiations. As a captain, set the f**king example and hire someone respectable, but no we are called a total embarrassment 2 weeks out of the finals on Gutherson's account once again.
This is why Gutherson should lose the captaincy immediately
