You know what's going to be fun?

Listening to Sticky's mates on NRL 360 and the broader Fox coverage tell us and everyone what a poisonous influence Hodgson was the last 2 years and how he disregarded Ricky's playbook every time the Raiders lost, even when Hodgson wasn't even playing!!!!
Let's hope he disregards BA's playbook.

“The Eels have reportedly set their sights on veteran forward Tariq Sims as the club attempts to fill the holes left by outgoing forwards Marata Niukore, Isaiah Papali’i and Ray Stone.

Niukore, Papali’i and Stone have inked deals with the Warriors, Tigers and Dolphins respectively for 2023 and beyond.

And now the Eels are set to hit the market to find replacements with The Daily Telegraphreporting Sims a serious contender.

Sims’ Dragons deal expires at the end of 2022 and club has already told him they can’t offer him a new deal beyond his current one.

There’s been no shortage of interest in the 31-year-old. He’s previously been linked to the Tigers, Roosters, Storm, Cowboys, Broncos, Rabbitohs and Panthers, as well as some Super League clubs.

But now the Eels have entered the conversation and have “genuine interest” in the New South Wales representative, according to the Telegraph.

Sims is understood to be earning close to $600,000 but will likely accept a pay cut at this late stage in his career.

As for the Eels, given Reed Mahoney is departing at the end of 2022, on top of Niukore, Papali’i and Stone, the club wouldn’t have to cull any players to make room in their cap to accommodate Sims.”

Interesting that Stone is now mentioned in media reports as if he is a huge loss, whereas almost no news about Storm losing Kaufusi and no screaming headlines about Brandon Smith to Roosters. Imo Storm have lost more quality, and probably more players, in '22 & '23 than we have, yet our retention is shit apparently! And nobody wants to play for BA but Bellamy is not labelled the same. All perception I suppose.

Will they ever rise to be as brilliant sterling Kenny Ella in any of today’s teams that team wins the comp
Sterling was brilliant at reading the play, Kenny was just brilliant, seemed to be always near the ball, and had pace and swerve to beat almost any player and Ella was just explosive. I remember Ella when he first came into first grade, must have weighed 60kg wringing wet, with match stick legs. All brilliant players.
