Well the stories should calm down a bit now most of have decided their futures.

I am not worried about matto if he leaves the fact no club has shown any interest in him so far i think shows he has been underwhelming since coming here

Maybe Dylan Brown if he hasn't activated his option for 2023.

But other then that the focus can be on too hopefully breaking that drought in 2022

Yep. If we sat back and waited till the end of the season to try and extend his contract then it was a huge lack of foresight.
Why would you think we waited until the first of November to offer an extension? More to the point, why do you think the player wouldn't want to wait? You don't get top money without some competition between buyers. If I was a player manager I would never allow a player in good form to sign an extension until there were multiple offers on the table.

And if his manager said, ''Ice, don't sign anything until we see what you are worth on the open market in Nov,'' that would be more good foresight. Foresight all round!
Not even foresight. Just f**king obvious. The only players you should be able to get to commit early are the ones nobody else wants, and the only ones of those you'd want are youngsters with potential that rival scouts don't have enough information to judge. Once they're playing first grade players should only sign early if they're part of the furniture and your offer is already huge.

Luciano has asked for an immediate release.

Will the tigers grow some backbone and make him honour his last year. Or will they cave in just like they did for Matterson and Aloiai in the past 2 off seasons and let him go early.

If he does get released i bet they will be into papali'i for next year with an upgrade to join immediately which we will tell to shove it.

Papa can chase the collision and front load his effort for another 12 months before his paycheck
Luciano will be able to mow lawns since the restrictions are lifted

Whoops. I meant in regards to him getting a few games in NRL over Jake this year. Plenty wanted him instead. But there was nothing to gain from this.
Apologies
Depends.

I only watched a few NSW cup gains with Rankin and I thought he was quite good but small sample size.

If we needed to win games (ala when we were in our form slump) It depends on who is in form at that point in time especially after Jakes 2nd and 3rd game.

However, Rankin didn't travel to Qld so he couldn't be picked.

yeah I think Sivo went downhill quick .... the manly ranga broke him

we will have to eat some of his contract to get rid of him but I think we have better options now
He started 2021 on fire, which was after he injured his knee against Manly. I just think he's not really a guy with intrinsic motivation. He got his big, long contract, set up his family, and now he's cruising.

Why didn't he go to market when he was on fire? I assumed his manager would of taken him to market ffs.

Reality Sivo would be paid closer to 400k then what he is worth and what other clubs will pay which is around 250k.
Our best case scenario will be if Dolphins take him for 300k amd we chip in 100k. I think if we keep him out long enough this season we also get some salary cap relief.
