Plenty including me where critical of Sivo during the previous season. His defense has always been suspect and all us fans new that already. We also knew he was lazy and had a mix of big moments. His early season form was nothing more then 5 good games put together rather then 2 or 3 followed by a few poor ones. Id say 5 games at a high level is the longest Sivo has ever gone without some of his flaws being exposed. His biggest issue is he is lazy.
Unsure if the coaching staff felt they ironed out a lot of his flaws in the off season. But I didn't want him signed. He has always been hit and miss.

I do not see many flaws in Papali'i game. His worse games are still at a better then average level or atleast average for his position.

The only players you should be able to get to commit early are the ones nobody else wants, and the only ones of those you'd want are youngsters with potential that rival scouts don't have enough information to judge. Once they're playing first grade players should only sign early if they're part of the furniture and your offer is already huge.

You reckon no one wanted Moses? I think we got him on unders to be honest. He’ll have his best year next year I reckon. Maturity will meet his ability and we will see a complete player and leader. I’m half disappointed that Gutho re-signed because I think giving Moses the captaincy would be the making of him.

How many flaws do you see in any of our forwards? Paulo plays long minutes but he spends a lot of those minutes bludging, including in defence. But nobody notices because we cover for him well. How good do you think Papali'i will look in a team that doesn't control the ball very well? My guess is similar to how he looked at the Warriors.

Moses re-signed almost seven months after he was free to speak to other clubs. He had a player option for 2022, which meant he was off contract if he got a better offer.

Reality Sivo would be paid closer to 400k then what he is worth and what other clubs will pay which is around 250k.
Our best case scenario will be if Dolphins take him for 300k amd we chip in 100k. I think if we keep him out long enough this season we also get some salary cap relief.

Dolphins will be desperate to sign anyone imo. They'll probably pay 500k for him

He does a lot of work in defense. I dont think he is lazy. He can be sloppy at times covering in defense.
He has average power. Doesn't skittel defenders like you want out wide. Similar to Matterson.

My point is we know his limits and weaknesses and is a forward. Pous correct on Papali'i. He may not play at the same level as this season. But I still feel Sivo was a poor signing and plenty of us fans where happy to see him go.
Issue was Dunster and Penisini where yet to break out. Blake was playing poorly

Can drop a ball and give away penalties/6 agains. Also for his size I’d say he’s lacking power. Soft as well. To many weaknesses
