Brilliant post
The point with @Poupou Escobar is that you never know what his true beliefs are. Most of the time he is here to just demonstrate a different point of view like being picked on the wrong debating team.Pou I get that we are struggling with injuries and so coach is scratching his head right now coming up with the right combinations, but he should have scratched his head a little harder last season when he and his retention committee decided that will Smith wasn't worth a two season contract.
From what I understand and what has been reported it had nothing to do with more money but length of term(one year from us or two from Titans) and he chose the security of the extra year. Now he is a genuine utility and depth backup player that has performed in multiple positions for us over the years and sometimes even spectacularly. During his time here there have been instances where he has come on and actually turned the momentum back over in our favour and games where he even won for us, be it occasionally also fu*king up as would be expected otherwise he would be more then just a depth backup player. But he was NRL hardened, knew his roll well and was even getting better at it with maturity and experience.
He loved the club and we could have kept him in this very important roll for years to come, but we tossed him and for who? Jacob, who nearly everyone who laid eyes on the kid and that is all he is at this stage a kid, wasn't physically ready by a long shot. No matter how much training or how well he was slotting in at training, most here except you again and your regular possie of boneheads, said that he will probably need a least a couple of off seasons and NSW cups to develop into the player that he will resemble as an NRL player. In other words actually be closer to the finished product and NRL ready if he will ever be one long term.
So this current predicament that the coach and club have found themselves in, as much as you can't predict injuries but you should expect them, is largely of their own doing. Coach and retention committee are partially responsible but so are you for being such a clown-dick and making me waste my time and everyone else's on here trying to explain the freakin bleeding obvious to you once again.

The Poo Possie sounds dirty.

He will always back the underdog and side to that team similar to his weekly houso bets. It’s just a game X 2.
Great post though.
Yes, imagine that! But I wasn't talking about last weekend's game.
Nah. Chase the collision and one-out forward play is the way to go.We were massively dudded.
I expect a big turnaround from Saturday's debacle but not sure if we have enough creativity to breach panfers defence.
With their consistent rushing defence I would be kicking in behind them often with the centres, wingers, guth and the halves ready to pounce.
Need to keep them in two minds whether to rush up and in or hold. Run harder and tackle harder will not be enough here. We need variety and 17 extremely committed players. Panfers are on song and give you no cheap points.
I hope we have a trick shot or two. 2 or 3 tries will probably win this game.
I hope the players just forget about Darwin and go into the game believing they can win, otherwise it's a futile exercise going to blueballs stadium on Friday night.
Would Will Smith have played if we hadn’t had this massive injury toll? If not then he would’ve been a waste of money sitting in reserve grade. Do you think he moved interstate for minimum salary? He has played every f**king game for the Titans. He might be in their top 17 paid players ffs. Should he have been in ours?Pou I get that we are struggling with injuries and so coach is scratching his head right now coming up with the right combinations, but he should have scratched his head a little harder last season when he and his retention committee decided that will Smith wasn't worth a two season contract.

Don’t blow your f**ken wad just yet. I’ve just hit him with some extra facts. Sit back, grab a lizard and read.Brilliant post
You should see the one I wrote in the 'Eels in the Media' forum about Giffy. I must of been inhaling a spliff at the time.

Did Smith sign with the Titans before or after they let John Fogerty go to the Raiders?Who cares...the point of having someone like him at your clubs is hoping that he isn't used much at all if everything goes well injury wise, but a necessary if things go bad like they have this season in particular.
As for being in the Titans top 17, well for one their 17 is way weaker then ours seeing we whoop their arse almost every time we play them and where both teams have ended at the end of each season of late so not so surprising he can be in their 17 is it?
As for them paying more then us, well that is not what was reported. Also since the Titans came in at the end of the season with a two year offer, just the week before he was about to sign with us again, while vacationing up in Newcastle and he weighed up the likely hood of him being a backup for us on a one year deal or a regular starter for them on a two year deal, even if the money is very similar he chose to be a regular first grader as he basically stated himself when he signed. It gave him a new challenge to cement a place in a squad on the rise as opposed to sticking with a well established roster that was much harder to crack.
So by us taking our sweet time about it and taking him for granted and only offering him a one year deal, well are we surprised he decided to try his luck somewhere else when a longer option came in that also potentially gave him a better chance at regular NRL time? You to, as you have often stated the security of extra years in a contract can be and is a very attractive and deciding factor. We just took to long to sign him and allowing it to go into the off season thinking no one would want him and he was happy with a one year deal.
Like I said, bad judgement by our retention committee. Complacency is just as bad as bad identification. It has bitten us on the arse again.
I googled it .... apparently its a f**king horseWhat the f**k is a gimcrack?
Absolutely he’s good value. He may piss me off but I’ve never called him a dope.Cheers mate.
Yeah I know and that is why I give him the respect and posts he deserves as with some others here.
But in the end it is all just good fun for me. Pou actually is good value...sometimes.
