So keep the ritual of sacking coaches? That is you solution?
Or develop from the ground up solutions for sustainable long term success?
Or give them something outside the cap.No because usually if the player is wanted you are going to have to pay overs to get them.
In 2020 did anyone expect Penrith to do much??? They weren't tipped by anyone to make the top 8. He's transformed a young team into a powerhouse. You want to question his coaching skills while supporting Bea Arthur no matter what???What makes you think he can coach?
I'll leave the excuses for Bea for you moite, you are the expert i can't do him justice. But after 9 seasons how many excuses can you really have??Making excuses for everyone except your own f**king coach ffs
Other than good forwards, which back have we signed who'd make it in the top 10 of the comp for the last 5 years? The last one I say was Moses and an aging Ferguson.
This is a fade!
That's because they were shit in 2019, under Ivan Cleary. Before that they were firmly lodged in the top eight for three straight years with their young players Nleary, Edwards, JFH, Kikau, Leota, and Yeo on the rise.In 2020 did anyone expect Penrith to do much??? They weren't tipped by anyone to make the top 8.
No, they've just gotten older and more experienced. He's transformed a young team into a powerhouse.
I'm saying if you're just looking at finals records Cleary is proof that the team is what really matters, not the coach. You want to question his coaching skills while supporting Bea Arthur no matter what???
I think given some other factors, particularly captaincy, $800k is a fair price, so some above value payment. I think you’re being a bit harsh at $600k, but let’s say the $200k over for captaincy (also back up goal kicker, “Origin”, etc). A lot of clubs cop this captaincy tax.600k is a fair price for him. 800k reported is way overs.
Not really true. We were one ridiculous ref stoppage away from beating Penrith in week 2 last year.No that’s right we faded in the middle of the season which cost us a top 4 spot and any chance to win a comp.
We still had to score, sure it was a poor call but we still had to get over the line the way we attack that was no sure thing. Not really true. We were one ridiculous ref stoppage away from beating Penrith in week 2 last year.
They desperately wanted to keep Kearney. But when it was obvious he wanted out, they sacked him to save face.Maybe but it was obvious what you meant. The only coach the club lost in the last couple of decades that it wanted to keep was one Richard Ignatius Stuart. The rest were rissoled, whether they were pushed or encouraged to jump.
Yeah but then it would have come down to a field goal shootout and we know Moses is a massive choking looser whose game is not suited to kicking or practising field goals so we would have lost anyway.....We only needed a penalty goal to tie the scores. That's all Penrith won by. A penalty right in front.
They brought in Stuart, the coach who’s taken teams to four grand finals and he went worse than Kearney ffsThey desperately wanted to keep Kearney. But when it was obvious he wanted out, they sacked him to save face.
From a dodgy high tackle call.We only needed a penalty goal to tie the scores. That's all Penrith won by. A penalty right in front.
Possibly, but also we might’ve won. They might’ve let another massive bomb bounce and we could’ve scored. The point is we gave ourselves a chance to win. Eventually you get the bounce.Yeah but then it would have come down to a field goal shootout and we know Moses is a massive choking looser whose game is not suited to kicking or practising field goals so we would have lost anyway.....
Yeah after 36 years you’d think we are due for a bounce FFS!!Possibly, but also we might’ve won. They might’ve let another massive bomb bounce and we could’ve scored. The point is we gave ourselves a chance to win. Eventually you get the bounce.
