Well the stupid person might be just joining the dots to suit his narrative.Fmd you are stupid. No offense. We made an offer and kept upping our offer till Gutho got what he wanted. That’s what buckling into their demands means.

If he is signed down the depth chart, then I don't see an issue. Depends on his UK form obviously. Is he still playing good ?No thanks
Kenny had numerous chances and kept letting the club down with off field garbage. I think the spotlight on the R&R committee would heat up even more if this ended up happening.
Recruitment should be looking for 22-23 year old backrowers looking for opportunities like Hopgood.
So we beat the Cowboys and dogs to sign Hopgood, gee we must be unprofessional merging the managers demands, paying overs for a rookie forward. And on a 2 year deal…
^^^^^
The Mole seems to have a bit too much goss for this to feel legit. More like his manager is planting the seed ?
Talented former bad boy Kenny Edwards wants to rejoin the Eels in 2023 - but the potential move has split the club.
After losing the nucleus of their forward pack to rival clubs for next year, the coaching and playing group want the 32-year-old back-rower back on board.
But Eels management are baulking at the suggestion due to Edwards' long rap sheet in his six seasons at the club.
Sure did. Good game but another finals loss. He put a lock in at hooker which was a disaster of a move. Similar brain explosion to when he put Dylan at Centre so he can accomodate his son.
If he is signed down the depth chart, then I don't see an issue. Depends on his UK form obviously. Is he still playing good ?
And the point being? So we shouldn’t chase players if no one else is chasing them?how many teams were chasing Hodgson?
I know that his manager plays it out in the media, but you're guessing that we met his high price rather than Gutho met our reasonable price.Gutho’s management absolutely raped us. Not sure one eels fan won’t admit that.
See above , that’s hardly a “raping” as you mentioned!!Gutho’s management absolutely raped us. Not sure one eels fan won’t admit that.
imagine had we signed him for a little less? Don’t think there was much interest in him tbh. Had we signed him for less, we wouldn’t be in this predicament. We may of had enough to sign one of the players that are leaving.
But keep defending.

Far out no one wanted to sign Papa either that’s why we got him for $175k or so, but applying your logical we shouldn’t have signed him !!

$2.3m 3 years is a pretty reasonable for Gutho!
has he played like a 770k player this season? His form has been questionable.

Because Parra fans are stupidI seriously believe the people in charge couldn't give a shit if we win a GF, as long as we are competitive and they sell enough memberships to a loyal fanbase that makes the club profitable. They are not willing to do what it takes to get us to the next level. Otherwise a bum like Murphy would not be here.
No, because we upped our offers, hence staying, RCG was off to the Dolphins and possibly PowloDid they leave for more money?
