Brad Arthur just said in the post match press conference that Matterson told the team that he’s staying at the club for another four seasons.
But alot of them won't be there next year lolBrad Arthur just said in the post match press conference that Matterson told the team that he’s staying at the club for another four seasons.
They are an absolute necessity (along with Penisini), but we still need another edge. Can we please start Matto in the 13 now?If we can re-sign Moses and Brown I think we’ll still be in a pretty good spot.

If we could also jag Crichton I’d say we’re looking ok.
I know. I think he should have been starting him for a while now. Matto is a better middle than Paps. It’s a pretty red hot middle with those guys starting. We did tonight …and looks like the plan from now on with Nrown dropped

Agreed. Here’s hoping we develop some youngsters over the next few years so we have a good mix of youth and experience. The worry will be in 2025 when Jnr, Matto and RCG are old men. Pending how form goes I guess.
RCG, Matto and Jnr are another level to any of our forwards. At his best Lane's probably the next best. People may say Papali'i or Marata. They are just more consistent.
Papali'i early in game had a 2 man overlap and just pinned his ears and run. Lane doesn't make those mistakes. He reads the game better and would of put his man away.
I’m not sold on Simonsson. He runs sideways way too much. I think Dunster or Russell will eventually take his spot.In an ideal world Russell's form is too good to leave out and comes in for Simmonson. WhonI think is solid. I can't see anyone else in our backline not starting unless injured.
Or we may not retain Sivo when he’s off contract and have Simo and either Haze or Russell. If losing Sivo helps us keep our halves I’m all for it.I’m not sold on Simonsson. He runs sideways way too much. I think Dunster or Russell will eventually take his spot.

Lane can be a bit lazy, but I'm a big fan - athletic, skilful, and a real point of difference.
and costs f**k all, reportedly $250K
if he played like this every week, he'd be worth double that

He's never going to be a player that puts the team on the front foot (that's just not what he is), but he is very dangerous in a team that is going forward. He does a job for us.
When we use the Giraffe correctly he is unstoppable in that channel 15m out on the edge.Lane can be a bit lazy, but I'm a big fan - athletic, skilful, and a real point of difference.
