Jurnos contacting other clubs to get a different angle on the Jake Drama. Pose the question " is he a player you'd consider"? Of cause they say. Ffs I dont believe a word of it. The pr*cks still havent worked out they are booing his Dad not him but lets sensationalise it to get clicks and creat drama.
Jake will be our 7 these next 4 weeks for better or worse. I wish him luck cause he plays for my favourite team.
No. You are wrong. They know. They said exactly that ... that they are booing him because of his name

Not saying he will or wont be 7 while Mitch is out, but I do know that when Penisini and Paulo were interviewed yesterday, the scan results from Mitch hadn't come back. From what I was told, a 4 week out for Mitchell may mean a re-think of our halves while he is out and not just a simple "put Jake in" like it might be if it was one game only.

You say that, except he has made 61 tackles this year, with an efficiency rate of 88%. That's pretty good. But even last year's 87% was good. You hate his father and want them to fail, so confirmation bias means you only notice the few missed tackles. That's why we need stats, because they expose our biases.

Jake Arthur has flaws (he is inexperienced and slow), but strength and defensive technique aren't among them.
Pou I would suggest watching Arthur off the ball defensively.

You'll see how poor he is in terms of making a read and decision. It doesn't count as a missed tackle when he is in completely the wrong place.
I think his defence is better than his kicking game though... it is poor.

I'd prefer Gutho at half back to fill in and play Russell or Perham at FB the next month- good chance to give Russell some FB experience, for mine he is the best wing option in the club right now, and possibly a decent FB option in the future

Broken finger - 4 weeks out means 5 weeks without playing.
I think they'll strap him up and he will play against Brisbane. That's a month. JA on bench as cover.
Unless we win the next 3. If we lost to Manly and South he will be rushed back I'd say.
If we win the next few he probably gets back for half a game against Storm to get some miles.
Probably wouldnt be ready for Dogs game thou.
If we did lose the next 3 high chance finals are over.

He is 19. Of course he is going to make bad decisions. I was just talking about whether he can tackle.

So when the Bulldogs improve after sacking their coach it’s purely because they’re playing poor defensive sides but when we lose against teams at the bottom of the ladder it’s because we’re just not that good.
?????
There's plenty of reasons the Bulldogs might improve after sacking their coach. Sacking the coach might've put the players on notice. They might also have just played against easier teams since sacking the coach. It's also possible the new coach is better than the one who was sacked. You're hardly making a rational analysis if you're not considering all the possibilities. Just sack coach = win is the most simplistic assessment you could come up with, and is obviously driven by your confirmation bias (i.e. you want the coach sacked so you are looking for evidence to support the decision).

It has been pretty obvious since Potter took over from Barrett that the Dogs attack has completely changed. They were playing a very conservative style under Barrett, trying to grind a victory which was never going to work.

If nothing else I think the Dogs improvement shows that new ideas and a fresh voice can turn things around. There's obviously a question mark on whether it's sustainable long term but for now they look like they're enjoying a bit of freedom and change of tack...
