I've never been a big Makatoa fan, but maybe we would be better off with:

8. RCG/Paulo
9. Mahoney
10. Makatoa

16. Paulo/RCG

Makatoa is a workhorse; having him come off the bench does us no favours. He is not an impact player.

This would also give us the luxury of having some impact coming off the bench.

Once RCG, and Paulo, go off, we struggle to keep up the momentum they created.

Having them both start means we can start games strongly, but all our opposition really needs to do, is to weather the storm, wait for them to go for a breather, and pounce.

I believe we need to change our rotations up.

If we are not ahead after 25mins I worry.

Rein was given 2 x 10mins chances. He made errors and never saw NRL again.
JA had a great game against Manly. I can't deny that. If we did lose a half early I'd rather him then Bryce. The thing is if we don't then he is wasted.
N.Brown for Makatoa is a no brainer for me. For energy, leadership and experience. And I'd give him the first 20mins also so we have some punch off the bench.
I feel Simmonson would be my utility or Russel. If Waqa is having a Barry you can hook him.
It also gives us cover all over. Guth can go halves etc.

Is not defending anything, it’s attacking trolls desperate to put shit on our club. If Dylan Brown leaves for more money he’s the bad guy, not our club that is trying to fit as much talent as possible under the cap.

You're missing the point. You can't build success without juniors. We have barely any.
The idea of losing him would be a disappointment and disaster. Yes he maybe holding out for more money. But I am sure there is a figure he would be happy with.
If he has come out and said I am not listening to any offers untill Nov 1 then he sounds like a bit of a prick tbh

I've said this 100 x Yes money matters but it's not everything. And we aren't talking about paying him nothing. We are talking about a player getting perhaps 850k vs 920k.
After Tax maybe 650k vs 700k. Or to break it down 12 grand a week vs 13 grand a week.

It's HUGE MONEY regardless. Being happy and successful means a sustained big contract. Going to a weaker club means in 3yrs his following contract could be 250k less. This is what our management needs to be showing these kids.
Look at guys Like Peats,Peachey,Fafita. The list goes on.

But with the exception of one, we do little to develop players into the NRL. Our plan appears to be lets flog our best 13/14/15 and unless one of them breaks we then rinse and repeat.
Can we talk about this myth ?

The cows battled it out for 93 mins last weekend and how did everyone’s new fav coach Paten use his bench ?

Where did I say that?? Brown was kept quiet by an excellent Penrith defence. But as soon as the 7 min kid came on he once again was given the keys to the side while Brown was pushed wider. It’s embarrassing.

On the flipside, if Drown's a million dollar kid, he says to himself f**k that shit, and demands the ball 'cause he's gonna grab the game by the gonads.

That’s a fair point, but it all depends on his coach. We know how unhappy he is when they don’t follow the brilliant game plan.

How many times has he said it in a pre game presser Jakey will play 7 and lead the team around the park and do what he does in Reggie’s which allows Dyl to do what Dyl does.

...........and what Dyl doesn't seem to do is demand the ball.

Which is fine when we have a dominant half in Moses on the field, but when we don't that's on Dyl to step up. No slight on Dyl, love the guy, but it's a part of his game that is missing if he wants to be an elite level half.

And I can’t disagree with any of that, his improvement this season is off the back of him getting much more quality ball. Without Moses he needs to see a lot more of it. But I ask again how regimented are these game plans especially with Moses out???
