So you mean Nrown got allaned cos he said JA was shit? ..... is this real or unsourced?

i was always a Nrown fan, never got into the handbrake shananigans, and was pretty disappointed when he seemed to get shafted ... would be interested to know why
Yep, take Nrown out of the side and we're still seeing that play after the 4th tackle, it's just someone else doing it now. And a lots of sides do the same play to set up their 5th and last options. It's not like Nrown was pushing merkins out of the way to get the ball on that play every time so he could take a settler. It's part of the gameplan we've employed...

This is what I don't understand. Whether fans believe it or not, I reckon we are putting the 17 out there that the coach and his staff believe are our strongest 17 and best chance of winning every game.

I know that doesn't play into the narrative that many fans want or enjoy and that there will always be opinions that player X should be playing instead of player Y, but that's what fans do, we surmise and propose what we would do without the same level of knowledge that the coach and his staff have.

There is honestly no way BA is not picking the team he thinks gives us the best chance of winning.
And this is Brad Arthur’s flaw - he cannot see that his son isn’t first grade standard

Anyone who says that he is a first grader is either being disingenuous to win an internet argument or knows nothing about rugby league

If Brad has genuinely misread it, then his football knowledge is lacking and he has to go

If his judgment is clouded because of his relationship, then his position is untenable

Either way, this decision should be the end of him at parramatta

What are you on about? Arthur was stuck on the right hand side, it’s where he got his LBA.
You are so phenomenally committed to trolling parra fans that you will tirelessly support the inclusion of a kid that is not up to it

he has played 150 minutes at commbank this year and in that time we have scored 0 tries and conceded 12 - cumulative score of 64-6

the commbank part is relevant as this is a ground where parra has an 8-3 record this year

his abysmal record even defies the rising tide of our home form

but then again, as you have said before, it is all just luck and coincidence…but if that is case as well, then he is some sort of bad luck charm and has to go!

I reckon even with Moses, it's close to a flip of the coin this Friday. The Raiders are riding a wave of emotional belief that is hard to counter. They've got momentum and are battle hard right now.

If we lose Moses before or during the match, I think we're toast regardless of who comes off the bench to replace him. JA or Carty, it won't matter I don't reckon so I'm putting JA's selection aside now and just hoping Moses gets through the game if indeed he is passed fit to play. Last night's opposed session was supposed to be make or break I believe...

One thing no one has factored is this is Canberra's 2nd consecutive 6 day turnaround in a row.

Not a big issue but certainly something to look at when most teams at this time of the year have 7 or 8 day turnarounds between games.

MMM just said Moses is good to go. But even if Moses doesn't get injured we're not guaranteed to win, and the omission of Cartwright could cost us the game.

Or, how the team seem to struggle to execute the game plan with Moses out.
I’m waiting for you to post a clip from your knowledgeable friends from 360 last night, you know the ones who yesterday really knew their footy. They all reckon little Jakey shouldn’t be in the side and picking him on the bench with no intention to use him unless there is an injury is pure stupidity. It was must see TV 🤓

I’d understand the blow up if all of a sudden we had changed our bench strategy now in the finals, but BA has used his bench the same way the whole season and it’s got us to 4th. I don’t think we’re going to change the way we’ve played for 6 months when the system has shown to generally be successful.

our bench rotation system didn’t cost us the game last week.

id rather have Carty or Brown there too, but that’s not how we’ve played in months.

BA said in the captains run presser that Jake will be there, but he may not be called upon. He’s also previously said our game is built upon big mins from Paulo & RCG as they are on big $$ so that’s the expectation.

Yep. I see that my post this morning was well left by the usual suspects.

We finished fourth but the points differential is only seventh best, and that's the better indicator. How we would have gone with different choices we'll never know.

Of course we’ll never know how this same squad with the same draw would have performed under another coach - that’s why it’s a moot point to even discuss it.

As for F+A being a better indicator than actual points, I’d agree if every team played each other twice, home and away, but they don’t so that always means some clubs will have theoretical easier draws than others. Where games happen to fall against teams with high rep players who are in camp and omitted also skews F+A.
