The Cows and Sharks had a much easier draw, which other teams defeated Penrith and Melbun away??? We beat the Cows on their own dung heap after falling behind by 8 with about 20 mins to go. I never questioned the talent in the side Idid question our tactics and the teams picked. We made a GF with basically 15 players.

We didn’t even play our best and beat them at their home ground in an elimination final. They lacked the class and some of their young players lacked the experience that our side had.
I’ve been talking up the side for a couple of years, my doubts have always been with the coaching staff. I maintain those doubts and it will be very exciting to see how we go next year with quite a few new faces.
I do occasionally bring one out, to keep all the huggers on their toes.
They had an off night. It doesn’t mean we were a better team.

Panthers got lucky we had two off nights in the finals then.
No they were just better than us. We would’ve needed them to have an off night to beat them.
I don’t agree with your assertion that for/against is the slam dunk indicator of a teams quality. I would have had the Roosters and Rabbitohs being too strong for the Cowboys as well if they met them instead of us and they both had inferior differentials.

Souths’ was barely better than ours. I agree the Roosters were as good as the Cowboys. Them and the Storm had better teams than us as well.
