I suspect this particular Parra team's overall outcome has probably peaked at the grand final appearance. I can't see the current squad improving to a level that will improve on that without the inclusion of at least a couple more higher quality players than what is currently contracted.

We've failed to miss the finals after our last three grand final appearances, and haven't made the grand final in the immediate following year after our last four grand final appearances. I fear history will repeat itself with the squad we have at the moment.

A lengthy suspension for Junior out of the World Cup GF and a decision by both Moses and Brown to sign elsewhere, and I'd be almost prepared to write off 2023 now.

It's true, and if you have too many irreplaceable players (which might be more than zero) you are at a disadvantage in negotiations. From the club's perspective they need to get maximum value out of the salary cap, not retain specific players at any cost.

Yeah I don't have the energy these days mate. If you get off floating conspiracy theories, then that's your biz.

And yet we never lost 2 games in a row. We didn't have a long winning stretch, our longest win streak was 3 in a row. But to say we bludged for 3/4 weeks I'd say is false. We also only won 1 less game than the cowboys, how much better could they have been?

Well, I mean, their for and against suggests stable performances.

We won games, like we did against the Titans in round 1 - we scored 32, but conceded 28.

The Cowboys' for and against suggests that they were far more clinical in finishing games off than we were.
