A lot quicker than Jakey. Watching him off the mark is like trying to watch 4K porn on dial up.

Lol Alfie Retired almost 20 years ago it’s almost a different game, and secondly Alfie was deceptively quick especially over that first 10 metres it’s why he scored so many close range tries. A lot quicker than Jakey. Watching him off the mark is like trying to watch 4K porn on dial up.
he’s not an nrl player and open to criticism like all other.
amazing the comparisons that these blokes are throwing around. JA should be spoken about in the same sentence as Luke Kelly, yet somehow it’s langer and sterling. For good measure we should throw in Cronk and johns as well.
Of course he is.
But he's only a pup; he's not shown what he can truly do just yet.
Wouldn’t we be better served getting another 20 yo with a better skill set off the bat, and working with him?
Haven’t seen anything to suggest he’ll be a decent player. Not even in reserves.
I didn't compare the skill level, or footy brain, of Jake, and Sterling - I pointed out that Sterling wasn't very fast, but had a great career.
Jake is not even on the same planet as Sterling when it comes to skill, and footy brains - but Jake is young, and might be able to hone his craft.
But go off, I guess...
Name them
Why not compare him to other slow halfbacks? It's unfair to compare him to quick ones.amazing the comparisons that these blokes are throwing around. He's already playing well in reserves: https://www.nswrl.com.au/stats/players/?competition=113&season=2022&stat=35Haven’t seen anything to suggest he’ll be a decent player. Not even in reserves.
Are you suggesting there’s no one better out there?

If possible, ideally, yes.
But if he can be coached to work on his skills set, and footy brain, then his lack of speed may not matter that much.
Peter Sterling wasn't lightning quick, but he was smart, and skilful.
I'm not giving up on Jake - he's only just turned 20.
Please don't upset the betwetter in the off season...No. I thought you'd know seeing as you said we should focus on another one. But it appears you're going to deflect and put this on me.
Tim Smith never ran. That's why he never made it. He was a one trick pony.Tim Smith would probably have finished his career as a GOAT if not for matters outside of footy. My mum could have beat Timmy over 40m.

Harsh. He was far more than a one trick pony. Poor bloke was bi-polar and chased by the black dog.Tim Smith never ran. That's why he never made it. He was a one trick pony.
