then why not reserve judgement until the end of the contract, to know if someone is on overs or unders really comes down to current performance. mitch is an excellent player with the talent and ability to make a very large contract completely worth it.

Contract negotiations are a tough gig - you can have a player signed, sealed, and delivered, and one thing changes, and the deal is gone...

I’m not judging. We’ll never know how much he was/is/will be paid. My point is, as always, that it’s possible to pay these merkins too much.

But also, I always thought we’d only be able to retain one of Moses and Drown. I think I’d prefer the latter.

If its true and Moses has re-signed - I don't see Dylan Brown committing to anything more then a 1 year extension.

Thats if Dylan even stays now pending Moses....

Brown would want to stay with Moses in the halves. It’s not just about more money being left for him, it’s about long term success and playing in finals, otherwise everyone would have signed for the Dolphins.
