I really hope we announce a couple more signings. We've had some decent signings but we really need to sort out the backs. I really hope Dunster is picked on the wing I'm a big fan of his. I'm certain that Taupau will be at the Eels next year, apart from that I have no idea who we're interested in. I reckon we'll end up fielding a team of:

If he wants top-tier money he's dreaming. Max I see him getting is the 400-450 range. If we don't sign Taupau Momoisea can do a similar job for way less money.

Lol. He’s dreaming. He’s a $250k player as far as I’m concerned. Can do a job either side of half time to maintain momentum, but that’s all.

I did find it curious that Brad singled out our props for playing big minutes, because they're on big contracts.

I don't disagree with that, but I think he needs to do the same thing with regards to Sivo, and Blake - Sivo isn't involved enough, and Blake isn't really giving us bang for our buck.

I don’t reckon Sivo or Blake would be on the huge money people assume they’re on. I reckon maybe $350k each. Might be overs for Blake but not by much. The fact we lose so many players tells me the club isn’t interested in paying too much for them.

Exactly like Opacic... who should always have been selected above Blake, despite being less "flashy" in attack.

Edit: Just saw I'm third in line to have mentioned that! We will definitely miss Oppa this year, and will leak more points next season, I suspect.

Opacic was off contract whereas a bunch of others weren’t. That’s generally why clubs let go of decent players who aren’t stars. This is also why players like Opacic are so often journeymen.
