Like I said earlier.

Take what players say with a grain of salt. Everytime Moses has made timelines comments about his contract; it is weaponised against the club in the form of indirect pressure for his next deal. It works.

Not targeting you necessarily but your reaction is exactly what Moses and his management are driving to achieve - it indirectly puts pressure on the club (emotional reaction from fans). To decide not to sign a player because it has turned into a "circus" makes no sense. Decisions on recruitment and retention should only ever be made based on the greater good of the Football team.

Contract value and contract length are to the 2 variables. If Moses is not willing to accept what Parra management deem to be a contract that is within the best interests of the Parramatta club; they need to walk away from the table - whilst disregarding the media circus and all other external pressure.

If the club at all questions/questioned Moses or his management integrity they should never had provided a contract extension in the first place.
No offence taken, buddy. My emotional reaction is that I don't think he is worth the money. And I've spoken to members here offline and one in particular stated that 4 years is enough. He's actually right. It will mean that Moses has had 10 years as a halfback at our club. That's enough. It's not like he will jag our 5th premiership in his 11th year. The next two is the 'window" and it will reset again when the inevitable happens and BA is not extended past 2024. Wait until that dialogue starts. Almost guaranteed to derail our season. Unfortunately we as a club are mentally quite piss weak and parasites like Isaac Moses just make it worse and couldn't give a f**k about our club. I do, more than any one individual player.

He has an option in his favour for 2024...He can take that up, still be able to smell the flowers, and worry about it again in 2024. According to items late last season, he is already on $1m...not bad if you can get it...Lot of people are walking around Sydney with the arse of of their trousers, wondering where their next feed is going to come from, rather than worrying about where they will be in 2028...
Mitchell's kicking game was woeful on Thursday - he gave Nick Meaney no problems AT ALL- kept putting them down his throat....no variance. AND Dylan Brown...did he play???

Never has there been a game in recent memory involving our mob where the forwards laid the platform yet our halves failed miserably.

Do not think for one moment that Moses wasn’t distracted by his worst performance in recent memory. He had a similar game for the Tigers before they granted him a release to us. And Brown needs to grow up a little. Nice fellah but he’s playing like a busted disinterested arse.

Couldn’t care less if Moses went to the Tigers now. Whatever we have offered, probably the largest in our history to a confirmed downhill skier who has less clutch than Fred Flinstone’s car is enough. And I’d also be insisting on 4 years maximum.

When Moses just sits back and does nothing but kick (which he sometimes does) he's definitely not worth that sort of money. It makes our whole attack predictable. When he decides to run early in a game, that's when all the other aspects of his game fall into place and he becomes near enough to an elite half-back. I just wish he'd do it more often. I've always been in two minds about Moses. I must say, though, that on Thursday night he showed me that his defence has gone to another level. If he could just attack the line more, he'd be good enough for me.

Huh? Isnt Paulo and Reg middle forwards?
I think Hopgood will definitely become a NRL level middle forward too.

Last year, Marata wasn't that good in the middle. We had Makka in the middle who we have this year.
And Kaufusi was only ok. Hopgood would probably be better than him.

So it's more or less the same.
I thought Greig was really good off the bench should be there for the rest of the year. He's an upgrade on kaufusi imo

He was good in attack. I didnt really pay attention in defense but I didnt notice anything of note.

I noticed Murchie was slow to come back at times and hodgo but they seemed knackered. Coach needs to sort out his rotations.

However, this could be because of the TV angles.

I'd like to see Greig and Maka on at the same time

Coach also changed his stagering of Jnr and RCG from what he did at the latter part of last season when neither were hardly off at the same time.

Offloads: Eels 16, Storm 13

However, they werent the same as last years. Last year, we offloaded around 30-40m from our try line and would usually end up past the 50. In this game, Moses was always kicking around our 40m line.

Maybe it's what Barrett introduced.

Moses is a centre and part time halfback and a decent goal kicker.
Doesn't control or organise the team enough.
For a bloke to be on $1m + they need to be very influential on the outcome of games.
I'm a big fan of Moses but my patience and care factor is wearing thin.
Sign ur contract or eff off.
When u command the big bucks you also need to deliver consistently.
His kicking game was pathetic the other night. Also kick to the other winger or the other side of the field for a change. If ur going to put a bomb up then belt the crap out of it. Moses should be in his prime but still leaves many questioning his ability and worth because of his inconsistency.

Moses isn’t a centre.

I still think what's happening to NRown is silly.

He should play if fit.

1 reckon the middles should be

top 13
RCG, Paulo, Hopgood
Bench
Matto, Nrown, Cartright/Emu, Rein/Ja
With Nathan Brown and the shenanigans going on, your assessment is far too kind.

I’m over the Moses contract thing. I hope the club is sticking to its guns.
as for our forward pack I feel our strongest pack if all fit is
8 Paulo
9 Hodgo
10 RCG
11 Lane
12 Doorey (I would stick with him for now)
13 Hopgood
14 Cartwright
15 matterson
16 Nathan Brown
17 doesn’t really matter because BA never plays them but I would like to see Wiremu given 6 weeks to see if he can make it.

In a few years all of our starting pack bar Hopgood will be over 30.
How do you know they'll all be starting? Either way, if they're fit they'll be up to it. 32 isn't old. 30 certainly isn't. There's 30-year-old forwards in Origin every year.
Weren’t you the one who didn’t want to re-sign Paulo on a long term deal for that reason?
What matters is the total cost. Giving an experienced player an extra year is a way to keep their price down in earlier years. But considering in 2025 we'll have Lane, Matterson, RCG and Paulo all 31 or 32, we'll also have Mataele at age 23. And there's still another three spots in the 17 for youngsters.
