Go and actually have a look at the halfback in each team. There are plenty less clutch than Moses.

For a similar price tag to Moses?

If he was being paid $800,000, his lack of clutch ability wouldn't be an issue.

But he wants to be paid the same, or similar, to what Nathan Cleary, and Ben Hunt, get, despite having achieved but a fraction of what they have.

It’s all over social media. We should let him go and ask for Daniel Tupou seeing that he is also off contract at the end of the year. In addition they have signed Dominic Young. I’d give Tupou a 2 year deal with an option for a third in our favour. He is class. They would be on similar money too.
The only concern I have with Tupou is that we're essentially going to have two players who have played their entire careers on the left wing, and we only need one left winger.

I think the interesting factor of this season so far is the World Cup hangover.

I think it is playing a part for all Clubs, and it is why I see this season is going to be closer than last year.

None of the top clubs have really had a decent pre-season, whereas all of the shit teams have been able to have a fair chunk of their squads around for pre-season.

Also, I think a number of fringe NRL players for some clubs, who got an opportunity in the World Cup for the minnows, I think would've benefited greatly from the World Cup experience.

We also had a bad hangover from the last World Cup...winning the spoon the following season.

We’re in a good place and I woukd argue that the “window” isn’t as closed as the haters want you to think. Credit goes to not only to BA and MON, but all the way back to Max Donnelly. Nothwithstanding all the criticism, in 2023 we have stability, are financially sound and most definitely an NRL heavyweight.

So, who are the people responsible for identification and recruitment below NRL and above say SG Ball. These teams are supposed to be getting players ready to step up, but are getting hammered.Even this early in the season , surely they should be reviewing the system and why the teams don’t look cohesive and again , lack genuine speed.

That’s the responsibility of the HOF, sure he has a lot to do given signings for NRLW and contract negotiations with NRL players, but would imagine that is in his job description. Answer is it the system they are playing, the coaching or the recruitment, answer that and we can move forward.

Flegg got smashed,Nsw cup flogged.
0/6 from 3 main grades. Big week next week for the club. 0/9 would be a record surely
Nsw Cup are a rabble, so that’s already been dissected and put out in the trash.

Flegg; you know that we are playing with a stacked Ball squad, who won again today ? You know that the Ball comp finals start in like 3 weeks and then guns like Twidle, Sanders, Lynn, Tuivati, Parry will then move up to Flegg like last year ? I bet you do.

Given the stage of Hopgoods careers, 60 minutes for him is where he should be at at the moment.

Matterson and Hopgood for 60, with 20 minutes of Mattersons time spent on the edge at the end of the match (Doorey can't play 80). That's 100 middle minutes
RCG and Junior to play 50 - That's another 100 minutes
So all we need is another 40 minutes from Nrown and Murchie

And suddenly things look a whole lot more balanced.

I think James Hooper is off his head. Suaaliii is 19 and exercised his option.

HOW UNCLE NICK COULD SHOW EELS THE WAY

PARRAMATTA should take a play out of the Sydney Roosters negotiating style.

When powerful Roosters chairman Nick Politis grew tired of the games around Joseph Suaalii’s contract option for 2024, he let Isaac Moses have it.

When Uncle Nick wants to deliver a well-timed spray, he hits the target with all the subtlety of Mike Tyson in his prime.

That was the beginning of last month.

Since then Politis has put Moses in the deep freezer and point blank refused to deal with him.

Lo and behold earlier this week Suaali’i agreed to remain at the Roosters for the 2024 season.
