I can't believe they haven't already wrapped him up though. We can only dream of having such speed machine and footwork in our backline. A real Ferrari, we are lucky if we get a Holden come off our production line.

I've been a fan of Averillo's for a while - he's what we are expecting Rusell to develop into, but Jake is already there.

Adding Averillo, alone, would transform our backline.

I can't see it happening, though.

Jeez I would love to get Gould as our Head of Football Department. I don't know when his contract ends at the Dogs, I think he has a couple of years to go still, but I would be putting feelers out to him and his manager now telling them when they are ready to go again that we are very interested and keen to do business.

We need someone like him to come in and reset our whole football department from juniors to NRL recruitment and retention. Also with his business contacts he more then makes up for what he would cost us. If he is on your side he is Gold no matter what his detractors say.

You can say whatever you want about Gould's arrogance, or his tendency to bottle his own farts to save for later - the guy just knows footy.

We would be lucky to have him.

They probably cant wrap him up as he has excelled at centre is shit at the wing. The bulldogs have an abundance of centres coming through plus the drug cheat coming through.

Gould has more than likely told Druggo he will be a centre they stole Gabriel from us to play centre and most likely told him as well also they have the rugby guys kid in Cup . So if they go and resign Jake it may force a few talented people to leave.

Under rated thing to consider if we make finals this year. Is we have the bye in last round.

So making top 4 would still be great with a double chance. But we still get a freshen up before the finals if we make it unlike last year if we finish 5th to 8th.

Senior players would have belief they can go deep after experience from last year.

Let's be honest storm and sharks losses were 50/50 games and broncos we were a bit unlucky.

Souths are still the only team I feel we can't compete with even with us fully fit. The rest well it comes down to bit of luck. We didn't have much of it in first 6 weeks even some of it was our own doing.

What exactly has Josh Schuster done to be on anywhere near 800K a year?? When I heard the $800K figure, I thought it was the media using total contract value over 2-3 years to sensationalise things....

Sure he's got some talent but a bloke his age with less than 40 games of first grade under his belt (I think) and who hasn't been dominant or destructive in just about any of them - it's madness. No wonder Manly are probably happy for someone to take him. They've surely overpaid by some margin there... And I think he'd be a disaster at the Tigers. It'd be like when Owen Craigie signed with Wests....

Des would have been involved, so he is probably backended to about 1.2m in 3 yrs time

I will agree with this with one caveat - if the coach sees the light on Hodgson then everything you wrote is in play.
