Possible for one year but unlikely for 2 but at the end of the day the difference is $50k over 2 season. While the extra $25k may be enough to sweeten Moses, Drown, etc resigning, it’s a small amount for trying to sign a completely new squad member.
As frustrated as I was with Momoisea in his 1st grade games, have to remember if Lane wasn’t injured, he’d likely have zero first grade games. So perhaps we should take your advice given for previous players and wait until he’s got a few more games under his belt. I doubt he’ll amount to anything but if he plays to his advantages and fixes his defence, who knows

So the way we treated Ray Stone was good? Plus Stone would’ve cost more. I reckon given Momoisea on 2 year contract, he’s probably on like $250k over the 2 years. He has some obvious physical attributes but either mental or attitude is lacking

I like Stone but in our team, there really is no spot for him except hooker especially now we signed Hopgood. With Hopgood and Matto, there's no spot for Stone.

If he could change into a a good solid hooker then he would have a spot

Obviously the Apologists are defending the Moimesea signing. I will tell you one thing he is on more then min. Considering ghe isnt even in the best starting 17 in NSW CUP its a cokup.
Of course it may only be 20 or 30k extra. What do you reckon Ray Stone cost but? We never ever gave him more then 1 yr. It shows we have issues identifying talent to bring this guy down from Newcastle Park footballer. Ron Massey cup level.

Look at some guys we didn't rate who where with us.

Grieg, Makatoa,Hands. All have gone pass our recruits of Hodgson, Moimesea, Murchie. Id also say Ogden and Morretti have. Mataele by mid season is a chance to also.

Yes, that is the disappointing thing. We've signed Murchie/Doorey and Mommaseeya and as soon as Bulldogs advertised a bloke like Davey who we've had on the books previously we fall over ourselves to rush in and sign him up for the best part of 2 years...

That's what I am getting at. If our talent scouts or recruiters where top of their game we have Morretti and Hands in the top 30 and don't sign Rein or Moimesea.
Bryce is another who went pass Doorey,Moimesea,Murchie.

He is very good. But I wouldn't have him in my top 5. Id have him in my top 10 tho.

Just a few to mention and unsure where I rank them. Id have Penisini above some of these. But that is 14 or 15 good ones including Penisini.

Talakai's defence is putrid, and Suli's isn't much better.

Lomax has so many brain explosions to his game.

Tago doesn't offer much different to Penisini.

I expect us to shut up shop for 2023 if we go down to the Raiders and Souths as expected.

That probably says no one will bother coming here this year.

It's time to plan for 2024. This is just one of those years.

We need a Right Wing, Left Centre, a 9, and at least one, preferably two, highly competent middle forwards for the bench.
