hopefully there’s a bit of clarity and stood down turns into a suspension

By their own rules of no fault they can't suspend him, cause that's a sentence, but they can stand him down, cause that's not.

The latter can be indefinite, the former a week or two, it doesn't appear to matter that the latter can be harsher than the former, it's just how we roll here.

Haha

That’ll do me.

We’re being investigated by the integrity unit for our players making “cat and dog noises” while interviews were happening.

If it wasn’t so ridiculous it would be funny….

Glad the integrity unit is looking into the really important and detrimental things in the game.

f**k the media.
Bit of stupidity but f**k the media

It's a weird one.

The fact the players were doing it just shows the immaturity and lack of respect in the squad though.

If I recall, Michelle Bishop I think her name is, intimated something like this happened before. If it's happened before, then it's unacceptable the club didn't sort it out then.

Here’s the article for those that cannot access

The NRL integrity unit is aware of alleged misbehaviour by Parramatta players at a mandatory Eels media session on Wednesday which prompted skipper Clint Gutherson to step in and gag offending teammates.
Members of the media were interviewing senior forward Shaun Lane at the club’s Kellyville base on Wednesday, just hours after teammate Dylan Brown faced court over charges of sexually touching a woman, for which he was later subsequently stood down under the NRL’s no-fault stand-down policy.

However, some Parramatta players didn’t appear to understand the seriousness of the situation, making cat and dogs calls from inside the adjacent demountable buildings.

One player in the background was heard calling out “meow, meow, meow” in audio that was aired on Channel 7 on Wednesday night.

Some Parramatta officials heard the noises, which prompted Gutherson to step in and tell teammates to stop their taunting.

The players’ juvenile antics were picked up through the sound effect microphones of some media outlets. Channels 7, 10, 9 and Fox Sports were at the media opportunity, although representatives from the latter two organisations said they did not hear the players’ noiAbdo has been made aware of the players’ behaviour and the governing body reached out to several reporters on Wednesday night.

The NRL integrity contacted some of the journalists seeking further background. The journalists were told the integrity unit would contact the club requesting answers.

Although, it doesn’t appear the players’ noises were directed at the reporters, rather their teammates.

Parramatta’s media department representatives said they asked the offending players to quiet down.

One reporter at Kellyville said: “It was bizarre behaviour to be making cat and dog noises through the windows, especially given the serious nature of why we were there.

“It made everyone feel uncomfortable. We were unsure why it wasn’t addressed.”

Really? I think it shows the guys have fun and banter around each other. I’ve seen no different behaviour from other clubs at their press days.
As for Michelle Bishop - the players should let her tyres down if she ever shows up to our media days, she’s a biased flog who hates our club

So a couple of players made idiots out of themselves making animal noises towards their mates getting interviewed on TV. Their captain and media representative told them to shut the f**k up and they did. Lock them up for f**k sake!

Any other week and this gets laughed off. I find it confusing as to why the reporter said:
"It was bizarre behaviour to be making cat and dog noises through the windows, especially given the serious nature of why we were there."

Weren't they there on a regular media day, like they do every Wednesday? I'm sure Parra didn't organise press conferences with the players just so the media can grill them on Dylan Brown's alleged crimes.
