At this point of his career Cleary had the same number of premierships with a lower win rate. Arthur’s has time on his side.

I think we're in the Top 5 most wins of all teams since 2017, along with Rooters, Storm, Panthers and Souths, so this would make sense. Only one of those three Souths coaches were actually sacked too (Seibold left for the Broncos, and Bennett was always on a finite deal).

The Raiders and Sticky are the outlier, but the Faids have only ever sacked two coaches (Mal and Furner) in their entire 40 year history. All the rest have either retired (Furner snr) or made the choice to move to what they believed was "greener" pastures (Bennett, Sheens, Henry, Elliott). You'd have to be going pretty badly to get sacked as the coach of the Raiders. There is zero negative local media like you would have in Sydney, Brisbane, or even Newcastle, and they're always pretty much left alone by the Sydney media.

I was in the "let's move on from BA" camp a month ago.

But what he has done on the last month is nothing short of brilliant - our season was looking done a month ago, and with a lot of players missing through injury, we were in big trouble.

He has gotten Ogden, Hands, Greig (prior to his injury), Hopgood, Cartwright, and Simonsson playing terrific footy, and we are now in the 8.

Brad annoys me at times, but I have to give the man credit - he knows what he's doing.
