This means they should have more in the budget to pay him as well. It’s good to see the salary cap working.

We really need to focus on front rowers the most at the moment for the next 3 years or so to fill the shoes and inevitable decline of our two current trojans up front.

I also would love us to follow Gould's lead and start our own half back academy. Gould has just created the first of its kind in Australia and I am very keen to see what it produces down the track. He has been talking about it for years and now he has finally done it. So it will be very interesting to see what it involves and what comes of it down the track.

But it can only be a good think throwing focused recourses at the most important and scarce position in the game. I really hope we follow their lead and do our own and not be left behind and start to do catch up when Moses retires which will be to late.

It took us decades to find a quality half after Sterlo, I never want to see that again. We used to be the Tigers. No one wants to see that happen to us ever again. Halves make or break a team/club no matter how good the rest of your squad is. Look at the Broncos without Reynolds. I would rather we kept producing quality halves that we kept losing to other clubs because we don't have a spot for them like young Sanders then not produce them at all. Abundance is strength, scarcity is oblivion.
Yup.. middle forwards... it's why I would like to resign Emu.... He reminds of a young lazarus

NRL contract news: Every club's priority target before August 3 deadline

Parramatta Eels - Hooker
Josh Hodgson's season-ending neck injury and Mitch Rein's retirement have left the Eels short in the No.9 position, with Brendan Hands the only noted hooker in their top squad. While the rookie dummy-half has done a serviceable job to date and has a great future, Parramatta need some added depth.

Potential targets: Peter Mamouzelos, Jayden Berrell, Connor Muhleisen, Gordon Chan Kum Tong

I don't know about that, but he could be a very decent prop if he keeps working hard on his game.

But yeah middle forwards are the back bone of any great team.

Halves then give you all the bells and whistles to expand your game and bring everyone on board.
