I’d argue that Cartwright is a proper fit and better bang for buck than what Papali’i was asking.

On this years form and reliability he's probably offering us the best value in our top thirty, other than maybe the King, whose value to the team and club I reckon would be hard to replace at any money.

Waqa's second half last night was ok, not good enough for a starting winger, but probably adequate for a replacement, his first half was just diabolical in it's ineptitude.

If he continues to fill in, and offers the standard of his second half, it shouldn't be an excuse for the difference between winning and losing.

I’d go for Čotrić. He is on overs at Canberra and we should have them contribute to his existing deal and offer Sanders as an added incentive for 2024.

Timko is and will be a star. Cotric is a NSW Cup player that we have way to many of at this club already. Stop spruiking Yugos, Serbs or whatever he is. It's beneath you.

Again, why risk it. He has shown nothing in years. Maybe for a pie and coke, if he is willing like Carty did originally to resurrect his career, but nothing more. If he is genuine then sure give him a while under those conditions.

But what we need is a hard running demon that we can rely on to hit the line hard, make his tackle and be decent under a high ball. None of what Cotric has show for at least 2-3 seasons and I'm the dribbler.

He is crap. We have plenty of those. Can he be brought back from the dead, sure, but I don't want to stink up our recruitment with another project player ffs!...we need some real quality and pace at the end of our backline that we can be sure of. He is not that.

Smith is starting to find his form and could be a really good pickup.

He didn't release him to the Storm last year, he's not going to release him to the club that wouldn't give him a run when he was a player. He's had a dislike of the club ever since.

I know, that's my point. They wouldn't let quality go, but Cotric, well he is their Blake at the moment, wasting space on their salary cap.

We should at least entertain trying to get Trey Mooney back. He is one of ours anyway. He is probably just about ready to make a splash in the NRL in the next season or two.

I would give them Joffa who is a dud.

Well both are better then what we've got. At the right price it would strengthen our roster overall. I'm a little worried about Smiths knees though, but as I said at the right price and if he is looking for an opportunity he is definitely worth a contract.

NRL Judiciary Report: Kiwi games counted in NAS ban

Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona will only miss one game at the start of the 2025 season after it was ruled that three of New Zealand's Pac Champs game would count as part of his ban.
