Justin Olam is signed until the end of 2026 at the Storm and is on the outer. I’d be trying to sign him with the Storm paying some of the freight. Problem is he’s already 29 and he’d want a 3 year deal.

To entice the Storm they’d want something in return and need middle forwards. Who would you give up to sweeten the deal? Matterson?

You want to give up one of our better players for a completely average player?
That's pretty hardcore.

What's the best GF you have seen and the worst as a neutral.

2015 for me was the best GF i have seen. Remember being at a mates house and most of us were nearly blind by fulltime but it felt like JT's sideline kick felt like an hour the drama, suspense it seemed like his destiny he would kick it. Only to hit post.

He got the FG shortly after but i think everyone was riding the Cowboys home that night.

Toss up between 2012 & 2018 as the worst for me. Outside of James Graham biting Billy's ear 2012 was the most boring GF i have ever seen. I think it ended 12-4 and deadset the whole 2nd half no tries were scored & would have put most people to sleep. It was a horrendous game with the wrestlemania winning out.

2018 was batshit as well i went to bed with 20 mins to go as the Roosters were home and hosed. The only part of that GF that was interesting was Cooper Cronk coming up against Scam Smith. Other then that it was shit GF to sit through.

2015 was an excellent GF. It didn't just have an exciting finish, but the whole game was entertaining. Heaps of drama at the end was just icing on the cake, witht he last second try, missed goal, Hunt dropping the kickoff and then the final field goal. The only problem with that game is the circle jerk over Thurston because he kicked the FG. He did nothing all game, missed what would have been the winning conversion...but he kicked an easy FG so let's give him CC Medal.

2003 ranks highly as an entertaining GF for me. 1989 as well (even though Billy Harrigan screwed the Tigers). 1994 was awesome watching the Dogs get pumped (add 1998 for the same reason).

1997 always rates a mention because of it's finish, but I remember it was a pretty boring game until that point.

Worst?
1985. 1988. 1995. 2004. All for obvious reasons.

2017 was one of the most boring GFs I've ever seen. The Cowboys were never in that game and the Storm were never going to be beaten (very much like us against the Panthers last year). 2007 as well.

That whole three week suspension thing really destroyed mattos reputation amongst eels fans.

Me personally, i think he's one of our best players.

Matterson is a good player but is he really worth what we are paying him? He's selfish, a sook, often injured and often suspended. Since he arrived at the Eels in 2020, as a club we have won 61% of our games. Matterson's win percentage with Parra during this time is 59%. Is it really worth carrying a bloke with a shitty team attitude at his price?
