I’m asking the question that’s all. I’d take Olam but what’s in it for the Storm? I reckon he’d be on at least $500k.

If it means giving up one of our better players, then I'd say it's not worth it.
We'd end up with an average player, who seems to be declining in ability, on the books for another couple of years.

I'd be ok with signing Olam for a decent price, but not if we have to give up someone for him.

Best was the 1997 grand final. I was there. I also attended the '96 and '04 grand finals which both sucked.
I have watched a replay of the 1997 GF as i was too young to see it live.

When you know the ending it obviously isn't the same.

But gee those sides bashed each other in those opening exchanges.

I imagine watching it live at home or at the game. It would have been surreal to see Manly get done the way they did.

It was almost like watching a Hollywood movie.

Matterson is a good player but is he really worth what we are paying him? He's selfish, a sook, often injured and often suspended. Since he arrived at the Eels in 2020, as a club we have won 61% of our games. Matterson's win percentage with Parra during this time is 59%. Is it really worth carrying a bloke with a shitty team attitude at his price?

What's his price??

Raiders have a young 5/8 or centre called Ethan Strange who would be worth asking about if we really want to let Sanders go. I sort of find it hard to think they would need Sanders with him already on the books. Don't know what his contract status is.

Ram it looks like your boy Crossland is going that well the Knights are happy to let their captain go..

Such a big turn around. A year ago knights fans did not rate Crossland at all. Now he is looking at being first choice hooker. If they kept Nu Brown as backup they would be well ahead as both are on minimal contracts.

Given Canberra's situation in the spine you'd think they'd wanna get their hands on sanders as soon as possible.

I still remember my dad and I leaping off the couch and jumping up and down when Albert went over. Despite both being diehard Eels supporters, it was so sweet watching that Manly side get knocked off.

I think it was the best game I've ever been to. As good as an Eels win, given what was at stake. After that game I loved the Knights for almost exactly four years.
