Leadership! Experience and in Hodgos case, magnificent forearms. Then why do we keeping buying slow old journeyman like Hodgson and Lussick?

If they chip in half I’d accommodate them. The benefit to them is clearing cap space.

The two grand final starting hookers this week are Walters and Kenny. If the rest of your spine is good enough, hooker is an area you can save some cap space.Lenaz is a lock , not a hooker, that’s the real story and as an effort player he’s good but doesn’t have the skills needed as the game has quickened up as a 9.
Raiders have a young 5/8 or centre called Ethan Strange who would be worth asking about if we really want to let Sanders go. I sort of find it hard to think they would need Sanders with him already on the books. Don't know what his contract status is.
Depends on what we actually want out of a centre. Iro would be similar to Olam, strike centre that struggles in defence. Tracey isn’t a specialist centre, but is reliable in defence and plays his heart out (id personally go Tracey, but if the rumours are correct we tried that this season and struck out).Sharks can’t keep all their outside backs of Ramien, Talaki, Kennedy Tracey, Iro, Dykes, on their books, and they just re signed Katoa.
I think we go hard after Connor Tracey or Iro. Tracey covers Fullback, centre and wing.

Maybe he also had a place 5-7 mins from training depending on traffic???But Lussick knows our systems. It gives him an edge
Lussick is Gutho's chauffeur lives on the northern Beaches.Maybe he also had a place 5-7 mins from training depending on traffic???
He’s been Waqa levels of bad this year. I’d honestly prefer we kept Waqa than sign Olam, he’d at least be cheaper.Justin Olam is signed until the end of 2026 at the Storm and is on the outer. I’d be trying to sign him with the Storm paying some of the freight
You'll find just about every team has some plodder in the spine. You’re right that the position doesn’t matter; having their plodder at hooker hasn’t hurt the Panthers or Broncos this year.you need elite talent in the spine, what position is seems like it doesn't matter.
We were pretty ruthless to Nathan Brown and essentially bullied him into leaving early.i think as an organisation we need to be a lot more ruthless.

Canberra won't be letting go of Strange.
The Raiders have been low-key signing some outstanding junior talent over the last couple of years. They got Strange from the Roosters who was player of the match in the u/19s Origin, they also snagged Chevy Stewart a fullback from the Sharks who played in that game (admittedly had a shocker) but played pretty much the full season at Fullback in the NSW Cup as a 17 year old, keeping Xavier Savage on the wing.
Trey Mooney Captained the u/19s Origin side the year prior and is a future Rep Forward.
They have now added Sanders to assumedly be their long term 7, already sounds like Fogarty will be let go at the end of 2024.
I think they have always struggled to attract top-end talent due to Canberra being an absolute shithole. They have had luck with Poms over the last decade but with that talent stream looking like it has dried up it appears they have changed tact to try and sign the best junior talent wanting an early opportunity.
Gee I wonder why Parra doesn't try that
He lives in the Kellyville demountables.Maybe he also had a place 5-7 mins from training depending on traffic???
Its a great idea by Ricky to pick up young talent from other sides. Will it work though are they all going to gel? only time will tell...
For some reason we have decided to build from Matts up and develop that way the only issue is we are not convincing these kids to stay and continue to come through ALA the Penrith system...
To be fair, we were happy to push either of Moses or Norman out to accommodate Dylan Brown. As for Penisini, he is still a no-name kid.Penrith bit the bullet and sent a raft of star players to other clubs, even paying them to leave, so that they could eventually promote those juniors into the side.
How many fans are going to be happy if we pushed Moses, Brown, Gutho and Penisini out to bring up some no-name kids?
