I have wondered about that but a few incidents of stupid doesn't necessarily mean this is the case.
We are dealing with young guys who basically live in a bubble that have loads of cash and plenty of spare time. Always going to result in some stupidity.

What's the best GF you have seen and the worst as a neutral.

2015 for me was the best GF i have seen. Remember being at a mates house and most of us were nearly blind by fulltime but it felt like JT's sideline kick felt like an hour the drama, suspense it seemed like his destiny he would kick it. Only to hit post.

He got the FG shortly after but i think everyone was riding the Cowboys home that night.

Toss up between 2012 & 2018 as the worst for me. Outside of James Graham biting Billy's ear 2012 was the most boring GF i have ever seen. I think it ended 12-4 and deadset the whole 2nd half no tries were scored & would have put most people to sleep. It was a horrendous game with the wrestlemania winning out.

2018 was batshit as well i went to bed with 20 mins to go as the Roosters were home and hosed. The only part of that GF that was interesting was Cooper Cronk coming up against Scam Smith. Other then that it was shit GF to sit through.

To entice the Storm they’d want something in return and need middle forwards. Who would you give up to sweeten the deal? Matterson?

Look Matto is a good player that would walk into any team.

With his ball playing skills and frame he should be a regular origin player and our version of Wade Graham at his peak. Who was a great ball playing back rower.

But he hasn't delivered on his potential.

4 years here i reckon he played 6 elite weeks of footy in 2022 to get picked for NSW while playing for a contract mind you. And patches of good footy everywhere else while spending a decent chunk suspended and injured.

I'd say membership income (and the advantage we have) pales compared to some other sources of club income.

How is that possible? Didn't the NRL bring in a nominal spend ceiling of around $5m about 3-4 years ago now to stop any one or two clubs from stacking and having a massive advantage over the rest in nonplayer salary cap areas?

I know it isn't a hard $5m, but $17m is quite a ways over. It goes back to the amounts the Storm and others were spending back in the noughts. Surely the NRL would and should be looking into this right?

Olam was being left out for a plodder like Seve, that rings alarm bells for me. Plus his defence is horrible in a quality system like the StormS. What would he be like here??
