Penrith bit the bullet and sent a raft of star players to other clubs, even paying them to leave, so that they could eventually promote those juniors into the side.

How many fans are going to be happy if we pushed Moses, Brown, Gutho and Penisini out to bring up some no-name kids?

Only 2 that would be pushed out is Gutho and Moses and honestly in 3 years they should be pushed out...

To be fair, we were happy to push either of Moses or Norman out to accommodate Dylan Brown. As for Penisini, he is still a no-name kid.

Decision was made easier by the fact we won the Spoon in 2018.

If we made finals in 2018 we may still be running Corey Norman.

My crystal ball tells me that BA will be the next Manly coach and may take Gutherson with him. Both of their contracts are up at the end of season 2025. That’s not an accident.

I remember 7yrs ago telling everyone they are building a powerhouse. Many laughed. Some even call their halfback nothing more then a Jeff Robson 2.
@TheRam do you remember mate how I was telling everyone we just blueprint the club and shape it the same way as the Panthers?

They both have a greater chance of being a Dargan, K,Keating,D.Mortimer level then a Dylan Brown. Unsure why fans get obsessed with these two kids. I could also name a list of prodigies who come into the NRL and dominated only to be flushed out after 2yrs.

I can see BA staying on for a while. This organisation has become so passive and risk adverse that a big move like that might be a bit too much for them .

As much as I am sick of him I feel like this was a merkin of a year and a bit unfair to judge him solely on it. Cowboys,Souths also had injury issues and ended up similar.
I just hope we somehow refresh our backline, find a better hooker and I'd be happy.

Yeah/nah. Round 14? ……..lol! He’s had years to fix our defence, it’s not going to magically improve next year. Game plans, bench rotations and downright lack of discipline were abysmal circa 2023, and that’s after BA having been in charge for what now seems an eternity. Ya rabbit.
