Rumours and Stuff

Roosters added quality. We added Harper.
But our squads better in 24 and we also got hammered with injuries and suspensions badly this year. I think we will bounce back.
I might have missed something about our squad being better in 24? I think some of our key strike players (middles) are one year older and in or near decline.

We hopefully won't have the same injuries or suspension (or chosen suspensions - Matto), so should improve... but I don't think that improvement will see us above 7th or 8th spot at best and cannon fodder in the semis.

I’d take the risk on Paps. If we could get a good season out of him injury wise who knows where we end up. Gutho to Centre, Paps at the back and we look for another winger. That completely changes our team for the better.

The hard part to cop at the moment as it seems like we have nothing going on. I hope that’s not the case, but the fact the Roosters have Spencer L and Dom Young etc who are already 2 very good players just sucks.
Im tipping we go much further backwards this year and it’s quite upsetting. I was not confident at all heading into 23 and even more pessimistic about 24.
Consider the Roosters won back-to-back premierships in ‘18-‘19, and have been also rans ever since. It shows that no matter how strong a club is, they all have peak seasons and trough seasons. We are currently in a trough while the Roosters are probably about to peak again. It does suck but that’s life. Hopefully we are getting stronger as a club so that our peaks and troughs are higher.

Seems like Gutho to centre has been a BA pan for a while... hence the leaked X-factor comments earlier in the year. Come to think of it the year before that it was pre-season comments from the coach about Dylan Brown to centres...

So maybe BA has been aware we are weak as piss in the centres (defensively and in attack), and has been trying to do something about it, but it just hasn't landed because no relevant backs want to join us?

More #poubulldust. You can't compare the two and pass it off as equal - unless you're either a dumb f**k, or a troll.

The Rooster's "trough" has still seen them make the finals each year.. Compared with our (actual) trough where we've missed the finals twice in the same period, with no premierships to show for it.

Really?

Panthers lose Crichton and fill his spot with Alamotti (not a Panthers junior) .

Broncos lose Flegler and fill his spot with Fletcher Baker (not a Broncos junior).

May and Tago both Panfers Juniors will be the centres next season.

They also need to fill the bench spots with Juniors coming through. Maverick Guyer.

They have also replaced their backup half with Schneider.

But they can do this because they invested in Juniors to bring the culture through.

Yes good point on Baker. I guess uncle Nick can't keep them all.

But they also have to replace Herbie.

Paps is a money making machine.

Imagine the sponsors that would jump on board as well.

He is one of the most popular footballers in Australia and he plays for the scum.

Throw in the fact he is a local junior it should be a perfect match.

It's just ridiculous our club sits on its hands and knees too scared to gamble on anything other then the Arthur family.

Big no for mine re Paps. We certainly can’t afford a marquee player sitting on the sidelines.

Sure we can get over it... but that won't change that the choice potentially cost those three close games in the early rounds and set the course for our poor season.

what about RCG dropping his knees into a players back or dylan not keeping his hands to himself??? what about the club recruiting hodgson well past his use by date?? what about waqa completely giving up on his RL career? there are a plenty of reason why last year turned to shit
