Norman without doubt is a more complete player than Mitchell Moses. To be honest there isn't one half in the comp I'd swap him with. He is an absolute bargain at the reported $750-800k that he is on.

If there isn't someone who steps up to ultimately replace Semi we should look to buy a class outside back like Whare or Simona. I think Gutherson will do well and we will save our money to further improve our forwards. We are set for 2017 and will give the comp one big shake.

I actually think we can win it and am willing to put $200 on it. Any idea what the best odds are at the moment?

Anyone who reckons Moses is a better player, playmaker, whatever than Norman doesn't watch football....he's the second coming of Daniel Mortimer.

Sportsbet have us at $17

$5.50 to make the top 4. I don't mind those odds tbh, with such a close competition

Wait to see if Semi gets rubbed out .... will that change your optimism? If not it might at least mean better odds

Edit: though if we do well at the 9s it might also shorten our odds .... tho the 9ers is a bit of a crapshoot (unless we win it of course)

We can make 8. Not sure can win it.
I like our 1-7 long term. Gutherson i feel works out and semi goes we have young guys or one of auvau, jennings, schulte who will be fine.

The pack. Keep working on the pack. Its looking good. But its not as potent as can be. Scotts getting old and a gun second rower would be nice for 2018. And Franks signed for 1 yr.
Mannah and matagi will do real well starting. But there is room for better. Id like to see Matagi off bench with a high quality prop starting.
And of course hooker:kissing_closed_eyes: Optimisitic about Kaysa and King.

I don't think your assessment of his first year at Wenty is too unfair, hindy. He really struggled with the physicality of ISP/NSW Cup.

Schulte has definitely come on big time this pre-season and hopefully he hits the ground running in Round 1. He and George Jennings give us two genuine wing options waiting in the...erm...wings, as opposed to recent times where we ended up plonking a centre like Toutai or Folau there.

IMO the best backup wing option used in the last few years was Burrito however he was a tad slow for mine. At least he knew how to finish though.

Thurston - Cronk if it was for one year. But yes they are old now.

Plenty of guys on par like Pierce, milford and I could name a few more but none are really better.

Moses is 22 and Norman turns 26 soon. Would you prefer a 22yld Moses over a 22yld Norman? And one of if not the best ball player currently in the game I'm not even sure had made first grade ( Moylan by 22 )

Moses may have already peaked. Id say higher chance he hasn't thou. I actually think the other two will improve as well. Moses could be like Pierce who did not get a whole lot better after 22/23. I feel he will thou.
I have a sneakie feeling Brisbane will go hard for him.

I don't reckon Bennett would really look too much at Moses. Even with bronco dollars, he'll conserve cap by grabbing Taylor or Elgey. At the very least try to f**k Tits cap even more
