Well, my opinion might be unpopular as well - but I don't rate Pritchard at all. I'd be willing to bet he won't make it as a regular first grade hooker. I agree about DeGois, though. Very under-rated in my opinion.
If KP was going to be a run on 1st grade hooker he would have been long ago, totally agree with you.

There have been plenty of occasions where IDG has really impressed me. He had some very good games.

I can't say the same about Kayser. I can't think of ever being impressed with anything he has done. He brings a bit of energy - that's it.

Kritchard is very quick, and brings plenty of power and aggression. But he doesn't have De Gois' experience and decision making ability. The way we play so much on the edges means we need a dummy half who knows exactly when and where to send the ball amidst a wide range of options. This is more important to our structure than a hooker with a hot running game.

Why last year was his first not injured. Basically spent the 2 prior bandaged up.
BA eased him in last season, and he barely even got mins at hooker. I dont understand how anyone can judge him on those limited mins behind an average pack.

He was outstanding in the game when Peats broke his neck .... and then got injured (again) on the last play

Why can't we judge him on his performance behind an average pack? Unless by that you mean we had a very bad pack last season?

We've seen a fair bit of him. He won't be doing anything too surprising I reckon.

Pritchard was picked in front of De Gois early in 2016 before injuries and the other crap happened.

And he was re-signed before him to

How do you know what f**ken skills he's got merkin? Have you ever seen him in first grade?

F**k your eyes Mahatma! Even though he hasn't played 1st grade, we have all seen that he has more then enough skills. It's defense that he will find the most challenging.

He was picked because he was a better bench option than De Plod with Peats there, don't rate IDG but he's a much better starting option than Kaysa.

CLINTON Gutherson was one of the Sea Eagles’ most promising prospects but his time at the northern beaches club was cruelled with serious injury.

At the Eels, the 22-year-old is a picture of health.

His transformation from broken and battered teenager into the leader of the pack on the training paddock is impressive.

Parramatta captain Tim Mannah says Gutherson has been training the house down and is head and shoulders above the rest in the fitness stakes.

“I think physically there’s the playing group and then there’s Clint, he’s in his own playing field,” Mannah said.

Clint Gutherson and Tim Mannah share a moment during training. Picture Craig Greenhill
“Fitness wise he’s a freak and he’s definitely been a standout.

“He is genetically gifted but he works really hard and he has worked really hard on his diet this year as well. And he’s put on a bit of size as well.”

Coach Brad Arthur was forced to turn to the dynamic backline star to help fill the huge gap in the halves left by Corey Norman and Kieran Foran at the back end of last season.

And despite being coined as a fullback and winger, Gutherson was a revelation in the number six jumper and now looks set to carve out a career at the Eels as a playmaker.

“He’s been training there [at five-eighth] and he’s been doing a really good job,” Mannah said.

“He had a really good season last year and Brad [Arthur] has put a lot of trust into him and the boys have a lot of trust in him.

Brad doesnt see him as a run on hooker either ive heard, we will have to wait and see what his future holds.

So he signed him up as a 90kgs backrower?
Kaysa may flop. But we have not seen enough of him in that position.
Last years pack was yes average. Tim was out half the year. Alvaro, wicks, terepo wouldnt make half the team in comp top 17. Obrien got game time ffs. Our backrow was solid and helped make up for average pack.

I think ive seen enough to make the call, more than enough, also heard some inside mail regarding KP, i know he wont be a regular first grader, you can take all the time you like to decide hindy, no offence, good luck to you, we'll just have to wait and see who's right.

I agree Kaysa could flop. Never said otherwise. But I will give him this season to show what he can do injury free behind a good pack. People like to cry when let a junior go who works out at another club. I have no inside information at the club so no idea what staff are thinking.
I see an aggressive player who puts in 100% runs hard and can open up a tired defense. Not seen much of Kaysa out of dummy half to know his passing game etc...

Isaac De Plod? Plodsaac De Gois? Or maybe Plodsaac De Plod, just to drive the point home.

Some people saying he's underrated. lol
