I’m sure the only other dummy half left in the system Matty Arthur will be doing a pre season with the big boys.
You'd be mad not to have him ready if we got an injury. Having said that we might opt for Telagi or even Lynn depending on who is injured and if we need a L or R side player etc. It's good to have options.
Just driven to Surfers , absolutely hammered down from Port Macquarie to Tweed heads , apart from Coffs Harbour it’s such an easy drive now. Mind you Surfers traffic is horrendous, and haven’t been here for just over 2 years and new construction everywhere.
If he's not on a Dev for 24, then he won't be seeing much NSW Cup as they would see Hands as next guy up. Or Maybe they have a cunning plan and have a new guy comming in ?
And he rapidly slipped down the selection order. He played some ok NRL games for the Knights and I wasnt disappointed that we picked him up as a speculative signing. Maybe he just needs an attitude adjustment but he was barely a reserve grader last year.
Disgraceful
Mate, he is top 30 quality, and will be for the next two years, assuming normal ageing and no serious injuries. Whatever happened with him this year has nothing to do with his (limited) quality. If he spat the dummy that’s something he can fix, but he is a much better player than blokes who were selected ahead of him in reserve grade this year. He defended well at a variety of positions, in a team that was on the back foot all season. His run metres were down on previous years but that’s more about the way he was used. The thing about reserve grade is nobody gives a shit about results so you don’t need to pick your best (reserve grade) players. You can ‘adjust attitudes’ on the bench all you like.

I’ll accept he was “top 30 quality” this year, but I reckon heading into next season he’s dropped behind his relative replacements and would need a marked improvement for your “top 30 quality” comment to remain.
FB is the main concern.
Apparently was selected in the Australian schoolboys side after also representing Australia in the under 18's cricket team....a feat not done since the great Rabbitoh Bronko Djura did it back in the 1980's...
Given those 3 players are our top 3 paid, whoever is backing them up will be a significant step down in quality.
