Well he did leave league & go to union then come back to league isn't that following SBW's lead.I haven't been geed up that hard since we were told tepai was the next sbw
I'm sure they want to win as much as possible, with the caveat that there's a level of winning (for each club) that is most financially viable. There will possibly be a point where extra investment into 'winningness' gives negative financial returns.Yes… but… certainly in NRL business, winning would bring a degree of making more money. Not definitively, but also largely the club is protected by the NRL so the risk of spending money to make money (win games) is reduced
f**ken DUH REALLY?!?No it's a combination of winning matches and making money.
They come hans in hand...
Your not winning.. You lose membership less members less corporate dollars less free to air TV time less corporate dollars.
He was smart too. He was exactly what we needed. Pity his body let him down.Yes but he did have big biceps
f**ken DUH REALLY?!?
There's a difference between winning enough to make money and spending too much trying to win that little bit extra.
What did they say about him?How about their love of Momoisea ? Lol
I don't know if you remember the last time we went all out trying to spend more on playing talent. 2016 if I remember correctly. How did that work out for us?TO WIN That little bit extra A competition
Imagine being the number 1 sporting organisation I'm the NRL and then aspiring to be number 1 in any Sport in this country...
Nah we good we making enough
f**kwit.Exactly, but what is the purpose of a business? It’s not ‘being the best’, it’s not even winning footy games. The purpose of a business is to make money. The purpose of a business that runs an NRL club is survival. Hard to hear for a fan that only cares about winning, but there it is.
Bigger f**kwit. It’s my expert assessment. If you believe he’s not in the top 17 paid players based on his squad status at the time he signed his current deal that’s your business.
At least he's a beach sprinter, Hodgson could barely break into a trot.
It was hilarious how the TCT spoke him up.
*arthritisHe bought experience to the squad
Experience in Male Pattern baldness. He bought experience to the squad
Well he didn’t bring any knee cartilage.*arthritis
Yeah why bother trying to get the strongest squad possible?? Let’s just continue to be also rans.I don't know if you remember the last time we went all out trying to spend more on playing talent. 2016 if I remember correctly. How did that work out for us?
I respectfully disagree.It’s not disingenuous.
Or perhaps you merkin lack the simple honesty to agree with others where warranted, and admit you were wrong when caught out trolling your fellow Eels fans... either that or you display consistent stupidity in selecting your chosen "discussion points" and easily dismissible statsSome stats are relevant while others aren’t, and you merkins lack the foundation knowledge to understand the difference.
It’s my expert assessment.
Or my expert assessmentIf you believe he’s not in the top 17 paid players based on his squad status at the time he signed his current deal that’s your business.
No possibly about it. Every business has a point where they could spend more than they could feasibly earn. But I don’t think the club is anywhere near that point. It’s a well known fact we’ve been overly risk averse since the cap dramaI'm sure they want to win as much as possible, with the caveat that there's a level of winning (for each club) that is most financially viable. There will possibly be a point where extra investment into 'winningness' gives negative financial returns.
