Roosters gave Brandon Smith a PO. Why do you think they did that ?Yes, but , our guys are much smarter than Gus, that’s because they think they are the smartest in the room.

Do 8 of their players have PO’s like we do???Roosters gave Brandon Smith a PO. Why do you think they did that ?
We do it every week moite!!Wait...Parra beat Parra?
Storm gave Harry Grant a PO, why do you think they did that ?Do 8 of their players have PO’s like we do???
Again do they have 8 players with PO’s???Storm gave Harry Grant a PO, why do you think they did that ?
Can you imagine the trash talk beforehand. They'd bore each other to death before a punch (handbag) thrown.Your constant bickering and attacks on each other is embarrasing to the forum.
It's time to just meet and punch the f**k out of each other. I'll take bets.
You're favourite to win. I reckon in less the 60 seconds.
Origin halfback Moses has missed too many games.and the profile of a team that is on equal points with Parra and equal last.
I just showed you we beat the Cowboys with 51%You can t twist and turn and spout percentages as much as you like. Rugba Leeg is a simple game. Claiming you need 55% possession to win is ridiculous
To call 53% of the ball ‘dominating possession’ is hyperbole. It’s only 6% extra.as the Tigers proved against Parra. Parra dominated possession
Unlucky on the day. Across a larger sample of games it’s clear we have one of the worst completion rates in the comp. Back when we were winning we had one of the best.and the worst team in the comp still beat Parra.....how do you spin that?
Avoiding the fact that "more professional" clubs do it, only weakens the blanket argument against options.Again do they have 8 players with PO’s???
How do you know that? The point still stands. We are underachieving relative to our size and “resources”.
Well obviously there’s outliers. We were lucky against the Cowboys, winning with even possession (or the Cowboys are even more vulnerable to lack of possession than us). But in general, we need more of the ball. The stats prove it.Right. So we can stop with this nonsense about how we need an overwhelming amount of possession just to remain competitive.
If you’re “handing power to the player” it’s in exchange for something. That something is money under the cap. Maybe Gus has other things to give to players instead of money under the cap? How about shares in a pub that Laundy will buy back at cost if they lose money?Yes, but , our guys are much smarter than Gus, that’s because they think they are the smartest in the room.
To keep his cost downRoosters gave Brandon Smith a PO. Why do you think they did that ?
We are reducing the cap price of eight players.Do 8 of their players have PO’s like we do???
Again, to reduce his price.Storm gave Harry Grant a PO, why do you think they did that ?
If one is good then eight might be better?Again do they have 8 players with PO’s???
Exactly. The only risk to us is that the player isn’t worth the option and takes it up. The benefit is at the point of negotiations, bringing salary demands down.Avoiding the fact that "more professional" clubs do it, only weakens the blanket argument against options.
No too long ago merkins were crowing that Blaize "held us to ransom" because he had a PO. The reality is that he has been off contract since November and we have been trying to get his signature since the off season. So the fact that a player like that had an option (assume at a low ball price) became irrelevant.
Each November on the year before his contract expiry date, Dylan will become available for other clubs to snap up. So option or not nothing changes.
Source???We are reducing the cap price of eight players.
Using the Roosters and Storm as comparison is moot, would say the odds given their access to TPAs and media type employment their options would likely mean something completely different.Comparing two of the best run clubs in the NRL who might be offer a PO to a star player to us who have almost a third of the playing the playing roster on PO’s.
Heckle and Jeckle love those Apples to apples comparisons lol.
So you don't know why POs are offered by Storm and Roosters.Comparing two of the best run clubs in the NRL who might be offer a PO to a star player to us who have almost a third of the playing the playing roster on PO’s.
Heckle and Jeckle love those Apples to apples comparisons lol.
All you have really said is that you don't know.Using the Roosters and Storm as comparison is moot, would say the odds given their access to TPAs and media type employment their options would likely mean something completely different.
Silly talk. I never said that things are rosy. I just want to know why there is a sudden eruption over player options. You seem to be convinced that they are bad, but nobody has really said a compelling reason why.Still, if you believe that things are running smoothly and we are on top of things, good for you.
