As has an existing contract with another club (RU), unless that club willing to compromise, I doubt Semi will be playing for us next year regardless. If unwilling to go to France could be sitting on the sidelines for the length of the contract.
I can't imagine why he is going to France, different culture and language and many thousands of km further away from Fiji. I doubt he is that money hungry, Parra willing to upgrade his salary to $500k/season plus I'm sure he could attract TPAs to bring his salary up to $600-$700k/season. Not bad for any player, especially a winger, admittedly probably one of the best ever.

OK didn't know that. Maybe he will be back sooner than later BUT will need to sign him before he goes otherwise another 15 clubs will be chasing him.

Reported in papers up here that Warriors chasing Paul Green to coach them. Unfortunately the Warriors sounds the death knell for many a coaches career so why would any decent coach accept?
Is it the travelling or the poly culture or something else holding them back? If any coach is to have success with them he needs to work that out. Johnson has gone from a very good player to a slightly better than average one now and all their players have gone backwards lately imo.

Semi may not even see out the rest of the year depending on what happens in court. If the worst happens, the NRL won't let him play and next year might not even be an option for him anyway. He did the right thing for himself setting himself up in France. I'm sure if he is not guilty then the wheel of negotiations will start again.

That's a bit harsh. He's at least as good a MK was. There's actually a lot of Meh in the hookers at the moment. A couple of standouts, a bit of unproven potential, then a whole lot of ordinary. Plodders even.

Yeah bit harsh but I don't see much in him at all, defence is ok and kicking is average. Offers absolutely no spark whatsoever. You could get someone much cheaper who does pretty much the same thing.
