Reported in papers up here that Warriors chasing Paul Green to coach them. Unfortunately the Warriors sounds the death knell for many a coaches career so why would any decent coach accept?
Is it the travelling or the poly culture or something else holding them back? If any coach is to have success with them he needs to work that out. Johnson has gone from a very good player to a slightly better than average one now and all their players have gone backwards lately imo.
He has a big dog - so maybe i wontTell him he looks like a twit wearing a girls headband.
I'm sure we do have a flatter distribution of salary cap money - our best players are on considerably less than $1M for example, but last year when he re-signed, Manu Ma'u was our best player. When Norman re-signed he was suspended for being a f**kwit. No doubt he is but if you look at our squad, I think we have distributed our cap more evenly so we'd have more players on the 350-400k mark and more on higher than minimum wage.
Don't forget MJC also indicated that we have much more than $700k spare in the cap so that significantly reduces the amount we're spending overall on our current roster.
It makes a lot of sense, when you consider the first four words of your post! They've just signed Kearney, and two games into the season they want to sign someone else? Doesn't make sense.
Molly Ringwald?One word.
Perky
Lol Erin Wharifie hands Molan??? I'll take Vonny thanks. But why not have both???Erin Molan makes Yvonne Sampson look like a super model.
Under the cap Mannah probably costs us nothing (or almost). Doubt he is paid much more than $300k and the long serving discount is $300k isn't it. Therefor Mannah probably the best value for money player around.I agree. I'd argue that Mannah has been a better value overall than Nathan Cayless.
Agree Basil, doubt Ma'u on more than $500k and Moeroa, certainly not worth $500k at the moment imo. Still not sold on him yet, just hasn't improved much since coming into grade.Sorry buddy but that is so delusional.
Mau on close to what Norman is on and moeroa to get that money as well?
Tell me you are taking the piss or have i fallen for your bait?
My bad misread paper. Its the NZ national team making a bid for Green. They've just signed Kearney, and two games into the season they want to sign someone else? Doesn't make sense.

That was the case when Mannah was the only player we had who was eligible for that long serving discount, but I believe at least Terepo is now considered long serving, Pritchard and even Moeroa might also as it starts when you make the 20s
