Ok we keep blaming Hayne here but did the Eels really value his signature? Yeah be great to have him in the Blue and Gold again no doubt but what was he worth to the team and were we ever prepared to pay above and beyond? Was Jarryd a must have in BA's plans?
Jarryd may have expected to come back with Parra with our arms wide open for him but maybe it isn't the case. He kept asking where was his offer and it never came, maybe we were never that desperate to have him back as much as Hayne thinks we wanted him back? There are numbers going around of what we were offering and most thought it was a steal at that price, so if we bagged him cheaper, that's cool, if not we go and get more for our buck.
Jarryd is blaming the shambles of a board for not making an offer, but maybe we weren't as overly excited to make an offer to Jarryd as Jarryd was to receive an offer.

It sucks he ain't coming back, I just hope we continue to build a strong well rounded team with the money we have.

rumour is NRL have topped up his contract by dipping into their war chest to the tune of $600k pa on the proviso he joined the Titans

so he's getting $1.8 million a year

Was told this morning (2nd hand source but direct link to a certain radio commentator) that ABC had started investigating certain rumours regarding the NRL itself but for whatever reason they're not going to continue. Probably because there was nothing to them, but still NRL stinking to high heaven at the moment
