Hard to gauge. There whole side misses lots of tackles but hey some teams are built to win shoot outs. Look at the Patriots in the NFL.
Id be happy to beat sides 36-26 just as much as winning 10-0 .

He is however unqiue. He is a guy who can break a game wide open or if you 5mins to play and need something special can provide it. He has X factor. He scares other teams and they would set game plans to stop him.
W.Graheme is a great player, but not unique and I reckon played his best footy or most of it. He will be 29 after this season and well we would have another guys for bulk of contract in 30s and on his pay day at EELS.

Unregistered TPAs then. And 100k less?So by you’re thinking he’s either on $700k plus because he’s the Federer of backrowers, or if he’s only on $500k meaning he’s really only worth $600k which is hardly commensurate to your opinion of his superiority over other players

He has his role. It is not unique. We’ll have a guy doing the exact same thing as him this year, just with less footwork. And less defensive output. Hess will do the same, as will plenty of others

Kikau is unique. 120kgs and runs like wind.
Hess is big and dangerous from 10mtrs out just like Cordner and maybe 10 other 2nd rowers. I cant thu k of anyone like Kikau.

Most of our 30+ year olds are off contract. Signing Graham was an opportunity to redefine our leadership group. If we got him we almost certainly wouldn’t have retained most of our current senior players. Until we sign a proven leader we will probably have to extend a couple of guys such as Mannah or Mennings.

Some players you get good value from. Cam smith is an example. Hunt most likely paid more

What point does Tepai or Brown or Alvaro or Gutherson or Jnr or Fergo or Moses get considered leaders? To young or old or what?
Mannah isn't setting bar high as leadership qualities go. BA shpuld develop current guys to lead.

There's no substitute for experience.

Ferguson has plenty of that (192 games) but he's a f**kwit off the field so not a good choice to lead your club.

A couple of those aren't even guaranteed a top 17 spot. Wade Graham has 219 NRL games. He would've been a great buy. Kikau has played 34 games. The top teams are defined by having a lot of experience. Most of them do just fine without a 120kg edge forward.

For mine looking to sign Graham means that we are looking to promote more youth in the squad. Absolutely a mill is overs for a player with his injury history but like every signing you take that risk, we were looking to sign him because of his age, experience, and leadership abilities.

This will annoy the moaners but we'll probably be looking at signing another player in the mould of Graham for 2020. I hope we keep enough spots open for the young guys too, we have 20 spots so it won't be hard to do so

He probably won't be injured at the start of 2020, which is when he is off contract.
