I agree Peni was being a dope but I wonder if this has been blown out of proportion. They throw you off a plane for the smallest thing these days, I see footage of it in the news sites all the time, yet they let him stay on the plane, he didn't get charged and then he was allowed on his connecting flight. He couldn't of been too bad. I caught a flight on the weekend. There were 5 guys who were sober being obnoxious the whole time, they were cracking on to the hostess, one of them smuggled McDonalds on board. The thing is they were nobodies. If they played NRL it would have been in the papers the next day. I say fine Peni big and make him do 100hrs community service with alcohol victims

Can’t you just tell Kenty they were NRL players? Perhaps Cleary, Maloney and some other merkins

Probably my biggest issue with this is his repeating his stupidity of last year by not telling the club

He is not a boy ... he is a f**king man who needs to learn from his f**k ups ... but he decided to play stupid again

Our club supposedly did a review and decided everyone across the whole joint needs to be accountable ... he just failed

But he wasn't charged with anything so did he have to inform the club? I'd say it's a grey area. If it was me I don' think I would.

’How stupid are you?’ Mark Riddell rages at disgraced Parramatta Eel Peni Terepo

Former Parramatta Eels hooker Mark Riddell has let rip at Peni Terepo after the prop was stood down by the club for allegedly being drunk and abusive on a flight.
Terepo was travelling from Tonga to Auckland on Saturday when he is said to have acted inappropriately towards a female flight attendant.

According to one passenger, the Eels forward asked the stewardess, “what are you doing after or tonight?”, and, “do you come to Parramatta?”.

The Eels stood the prop down on Monday and it led to this tirade from Riddell.

Speaking on Macquarie Sports Radio and making reference to the NRL’s off-season from hell, Riddell fired into the 27-year-old

“Has he not seen what the game has gone through over the last few months?” Riddell said.

“Have you got any sort of intelligence whatsoever — a week out from when you’re supposed to play your first game in the NRL.

“Sometimes I don’t like bagging players but surely there needs to be some common sense.

“I just honestly couldn’t believe it, what is it going take to get through to some players.

“After what the game has been through, who would even think of doing that.

“I can sense the frustration in my own voice — how stupid are you (to do this)?

“I found it utterly ridiculous and I can’t believe he put himself in that position.

“The Eels are under pressure, I’m hoping they’re going to improve but they don’t need these off-field distractions.”
It is not the first time the Tongan has got himself into hot water.

In 2017, he was handed a $15,000 fine and given a three-game ban after he failed to tell the club he had refused a blood-alcohol test and pleading guilty to careless driving.

The Eels travel to Penrith on Sunday for their opening game of the 2019 NRL season.

He was being obnoxious. Carried on a little. He was also drunkm and by time sobered up most likely forgot how loud he was being. It may be just as bif na suprise to Peni as it was to BA and co.

Just me? Ask any other supporter of any other club. I could txt 10 people right now. They'd all come back with same thing. Nice guy and tries hard but need to move on. They wouldn't want him in their side. Plenty just laugh when I mention his name.

I mean, ffs - Tim Mannah was back at training, and giving 100% every game, a week after his little brother died, but he's "a pillow ".

Peni Terepo f**ks up twice, for the same thing - but you defend him.

Yeah, but. You most likely didn't have rules and mentors to show you the way, back then. You, like the rest of us, were influenced by your peers and the like. Major difference is, these guys are getting paid a shitload more money to do their job. A job that entails stringent schooling in public behaviour as well as their obligations to those that employ them. I have no time for those that choose to abuse their opportunities.

Mannahs fine. But our pack lacks mongrel and power. Why I prefer Terepo.
Id have Mannah before Evans but not before Jnr,Alvaro,Terepo,Brown,Tepai in the middle. So once a guy like Kafusi is ready to step up then Tim makes way . Unsure if Gowers used edge or middle more but I also would have him before Tim.
