Who??? Who is this BA you speak of???

I think him and his team have done a great job building a roster, I think it’s one of his strengths as a coach. My main problem with him is tactical and his refusal to change things up regarding his assistants. Even his biggest fan has to admit it where he falls down as a coach.
No-one who has ever reported a counterpoint is a BA fan. Just a Parra fan with more perspective.

Your missing the point of what we are building. Think Penrith.
See we have a strong 1-13. We also have a bench that is currently full.
Papali,Niakuore, Kafusi. All young and part of the 17. We need pathways. Only one of the following need to step up

Hollis,Hughes,Hipgrave,Stone,Cartwright.

If they force themself into the 17 there isn't a need. I reckon odds are atleast one of them come good.

If if if
I aint missing nothing. We still lack leadership and experience. Someone like Finucane would bring that. If we are willing to offer decent coin to Brown, we clearly want someone else other than all the names u mentioned in the squad. Otherwise we wouldnt of even offered him a deal. Cant always reply on our juniors, its got us fkn nowhere in the past.

So 100% of ground capacity able to be used for Round 4. Would be nice to have a packed BankWest on Easter Monday. Pity it's a Tigers home game, we'll be wearing awful jersey's.... Or will we? If they're wearing their predominantly orange strip then maybe we'll have to wear our home Jersey. That'd be nice
be even nicer to have a packed Stadium Australia

Don't think there'll be a capacity at Bankwest on Easter monday

How many of our juniors are in the 13 this week?

Mahoney is only sort of ours.
D Brown fair enough.
Junior Paulo and Matterson (after leaving and coming back....doesn't really cut it for this purpose)
I reckon Paulo and Matterson count as juniors. So does Moses.

If merkins are going to count Gallen, Klemmer and Keary when they lol @ pawwa they can f**ken well count the blokes who played in our junior rep teams and then got poached.

Not in the context of this particular discussion they don't. We were talking about the benefits of getting players on the cheap for a few years as they develop and are introduced to the squad. Buying players back from other clubs doesn't do that.

I'd like to know when this was, we've always seemed to have a mixture of juniors and imports in the top squad
Well we haven’t won a comp in how long?? Lol
We always have a few but we cant rely solely on our juniors. Even Penrith brought in an origin experienced, premiership winning, middle forward a few years back.

Technically matterson isn’t an eels junior. Played all his juniors at the bulls in the Canterbury Comp. And for the record I consider klemmer and gallen eels juniors.

Since last winning the comp we've also bought external players, does that mean we should be giving up on that too?

I'm happy to find the right players to win us a comp, whether they be local juniors, juniors brought in from outside the district, or buying external first graders. I don't think you can say we should do more of this or that, it needs to be more free-flowing. Like if you don't have juniors coming through you aren't going to not buy external recruits. Just like if you do have a junior coming through who is capable of first grade you probably don't go out and buy someone in their position.

To make a hard line stance either way isn't what a professional club should be doing.
