I think Ofahiki Ogden was put on a development contract after he played with the Bulldogs. Can you go back to a dev contract once you have played NRL?
I assume you can. Im just not aware of merkins who have.

Going to Parra on Saturday afternoon.
Any suggestions about a decent Restaurant. Open to any food type except Mexican.
Fox shows Sam L as top 30 Not Development. That said Im a bit of a fan of his and I have high hopes. If Fox is correct however, how hes jumped Cini is a mystery based on what we saw last season. In no way am I supporting the use of JA as I personally don't think he was ready, however he was the only one available and given the concern over Moses' hamstring early in the year, it made sense to have a backup half in the top 30.
Big SamL I believe is also on a dev contract and it would make sense if that was for a similiar reason to my total supposition (with disclaimer) about Cini.

*edit: I had forgotten JA was bumped up from a Dev contract in time for Magic Round 2021 which actually supports my fully disclaimed theory.
Should still be on a D contract. I see hes signed through 2024.Was on a development contract mate.
He got fast-tracked midway through 2020 to play Magic Round
Maybe Jake should be on a development contract? Did he show more than Cini?
My personal opinion is he did not.
Insert disclaimer here. The same could be said of Big Sam L I reckon.

I think this was discussed ad nauseum last year - why make 2 changes when JA coming in for Moses meant only 1 change was needed? And yes, I know we made 2 changes when JA come in and Dylan moved to centre but that was not covering Moses. What about bailey last year instead of jake?
1. Bailey
6. Guth
7. Dyl
When moses was injured.
Doesnt he have more nrl experience?
I think you would have to ask his family that.Tbh, the best option shouldve been Rankin at 14 and backup but i dont understand why hes not allowed to play nrl
I thought that was for the prev year when he didn't want to bubble in qld. That i get. But last year?I think you would have to ask his family that.
It’s more that him being on a development contract means none of the NRL clubs wanted him for their top 30.It's possible the dev contract was tabled because with only 2 spots left in the top 30 roster, the club wanted to stay in the market in case someone with FG experience became/becomes available. Giving Cini (and anyone else) a dev contract means they can turn up to pre-season training, are in the mix after round 10 and can be upgraded if we don't find someone else to fill that spot.
Imagine giving Zack spot number 30 and then Lomax becomes available and we miss out. Don't need to fill all 30 spots this far out from the cut off date and we have 28 already signed.
Disclaimer: This is just my own supposition and has little or no basis in truth and therefore little value in being fact checked.
I assume it on every post.Maybe we all need to put this on every post .... lol
Jack wasnt as bad as some thought but I agree, I dont think he was NRL standard. I had no initial opinion on Dantoray early but he did perform well the few times I saw him play. Looked an exciting attacking player. Unfortunately he was played mainly at fullback and has now been released. I hope he kicks on elsewhere. Im not sure why but it appears Saunders (sp) is all the talk now. Care to share your thoughts on his skills and potential?Yeah but you think Jack A Williams was better than Jake in 2022. You also thought Dantoray Lui was better than Jake after only seeing a highlights package and a Mole write up.

Rankin was fantastic 2 seasons ago and definitely should have been promoted before Jake but there was a reason why he wasnt as covered by MJC previously. Last season Rankin came back to the field significantly. The Captain Coach appointment was strange to say the least but thankfully thats been corrected this coming season. Given we promoted Carr and then were happy to let him leave makes that decision even more strange.I think this was discussed ad nauseum last year - why make 2 changes when JA coming in for Moses meant only 1 change was needed? He's Ron Massey standard.
You continually asked why he wasn't fast-tracked despite only seeing a highlights package and an article from the mole. You did have an initial opinion, he wasn't Jake Arthur therefore he was good.
Not with you
